If you love chocolate this is a great place for dessert. A large variety of drink and dessert options. No real gluten free options.
Was quite empty when we went at 8pm, which meant ordering and service was quick. However, 2 or 3 of the tables around us weren't cleaned - and remained that way during our 30 minute stay. Food was nice though, even if a little overpriced.
Love their coffee, desserts were quite good also. Sometimes have to wait a bit. Furniture is a bit old.
no crowd or line! great air con and service. This is also open late, till 10 pm which is great! Staff were polite and quick with the order, there was a cranky customer and the staff were really good at addressing the concerns and not putting off other guests. Just had a Cap and it cam with chocolate on the side.. if your not wanting sugar you might want to request this is not added as it was quite sweet.
Of course Max Brenner is going to be expensive what else would you expect. However I would definitely come back and pay that much for the delicious food and exceptional service. When ordering the lovely cashier managed to hold up a conversation with us, this quality to me is always something i look for when i walk into a shop or restaurant, as it makes me feel like I actually want to be there and spend my money. Looking around the gift shop within a few minutes a friendly staff member came up to me and asked if i needed anything in particular. Their fast and friendly service is something to be encouraged and praised. Max Brenner on Oxford St, is one of the best I have ever been to, I would highly recommend it!
Last night I ordered 2 hot chocolates. Only one arrived. The person said the other one was coming BUT IT DID NOT. When we went to the counter my wife was told, 'I checked and only one was ordered'. We then asked why he did not come and tell us since he now knew that we wanted two. He said there was not enough staff, the movies had just finished and they were too busy. Bad service. We have heard before that people have not been happy.
Best hot chocolate ever. Worth paying extra for. Italian thick is my pick. They were very low on stock for individual gormet chocolate but had a few boxes. Definitely luxury items from here.
Slow in service, not customer focus. Not very popular during the week only weekends. I bet if another chocolate place was there, this place would be empty. Overated and concept needs a revamp and the furniture has had its day. Looks tired including the staff member
Currently sitting it restaurant......arrived 48mins ago and counting. Waited 10mins in line.....when we finally ordered we were told that it would be about a 15 min wait. That was fine. I could deal with that, however after sitting down for 10mins we noticed some lovely ladies in white in the line. Those ladies ordered, sat down, got their food and left before we even got anything. Disappointing to find out from another customer those two ladies are from the QLD Firebirds netball team. Finally after being in the restaurant our food arrived, but the drinks didn’t. We are still waiting.....poor service, poor positioning. We will not be returning. UPDATE - Finally received our last drink 1 hour after ordering, and in take away cups....must have known I was ready to get out of this place. Shame there is no rating less than 1 Star.
after clearing our own table Definitely on the expensive side. The staff aren't the most cheerful. 30 minute wait for 2 waffles, banana something and a coffee. Don't waste your hard earned on this place.
