Mates Rates Tools are an Australian owned company offering great quality Aluminium Toolboxes, Canopies and Accessories at exceptional prices. With our head office, main warehouse and showroom located in Brisbane, Queensland we offer our products not only to local customers but we are also teamed up with Freight companies that service Australia wide allowing us to freight our range of Toolboxes, Canopies and Accessories Australia wide.

What separates Mates Rates Tools from the competition (aside from the great quality and low prices!), is that we offer a massive range of sizes and styles in our toolboxes and variety of options on all our canopies so we have something that will suit almost everyone. We also carry a large range of our products on hand so chances are we already have the toolbox or canopy you need sitting available in our warehouse, and if not available immediately it is usually only a short wait.

Great pre sale advice. Easy installation process. Excellent,  clean & organised premises ! Craig at Yatala knows the products exceptionally well. Damaged passenger side door on my canopy & was replaced promptly as they had door in stock at a reasonable price. Never at any stage was I asked to pay more than I was quoted. Product is of high quality. Weld seams are faultless. In summary,  I would have no hesitation in dealing with the team at Yatala or purchasing their products in the future.

What an innovative business awesome bespoke products and solutions for every ute owner. The quality is outstanding. I can see why this brand was recommended. I realky liked the drawer locking latch i think there would be less rattles

Unfortunately...I left my driver's side door up in my canopy & didn't check to close it as I've driven out & you can guess what happened! Contacted MRT & Lisa is the person i liased with & worked very hard on my behalf to get a new old stock door but couldn't as MRT did a different manufacturing process since.... So.... I'm getting two doors L&R as i don't like having one door that's different bit crazy i know Lisa.... Your fantastic!...& Thanks again... Rob.

Bought our 1st canopy here in 2014 and was extremely happy with it.  Ordered another canopy for our new vehicle in January which was fitted yesterday  took over 2 hours and the invoice/quote was $620 more than when we placed the order.  Subframes were not the size that were ordered and we spent several hours putting in extra metal tubing so the fridge slides could be installed.  After contacting them they said they would find out who made the error but never offered a solution.  Would never recommend this company to anyone as after sales service is very disappointing.

I bought a custom dual cab canopy for my hilux back in July. I drove up from NSW south coast to have it fitted in Brisbane, so everything had to be co-ordinated really well first. All contact by email and phone was prompt and they were very thorough. The canopy was fitted in a day and I was off down the coast. We had a few problems, forgot the matt in the back, the toolbox locks didn't match the rest of the canopy and it developed a leak in the front window. All of these problems were rectified quickly and in a friendly manner. I've had the canopy for six months now and I'm stoked with how it turned out.

Canopy fitted to mt ute look really good and had alot of rain this week and no leaks. I wanted dog box on front but I changed it around. Thanks MRT.

Bought a canopy in November 2015. Obviously out of warranty but every weld around every door is cracked to the point where the entire door frame moves away from the body when I open the door. MRT offered to repair it and charge me but really the next step is the scrap yard. How to turn $3000 into scrap metal... just buy one of these

Terrible service and communication!! I was sold 2 toolboxes that don’t fit my design of tray  couldn’t open doors due to hilux tie down rail  I let them know as soon as I got home with them and they wouldn’t offer a refund or an exchange. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

Had a warranty issue and was told to just drop in. I did, and Adam and the boys went above and beyond to sort my problem out. Not only did they fix my concern but pointed out another issue which they also rectified whilst I was there saving me another trip back in coming months. 10/10 service!

Recently bought canopy, roof racks and accessories, absolutley the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Craig, the gentleman who served us went above and beyond what one expects these days. A big shout  out and I hope MRT values him, I spent way more than I had planned, cheers.
