I had my first surgery at Mater Private Hospital Brisbane yesterday, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I was extremely nervous leading up to it, but from the very first admissions phone call the day before, right through to the moment I was discharged, every single staff member was amazing.nnEveryone took the time to talk me through what was ahead, explained things clearly, and answered all my questions with such patience and care. Their kindness and professionalism helped calm my nerves and made the experience so much easier.nnI also really appreciated the volunteers who kindly offered directions and walked me where I needed to go — such a thoughtful touch that made navigating the hospital feel far less overwhelming.nnIt was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had in a hospital. I felt completely supported and well cared for every step of the way — which meant the world, especially considering how scared I was going in.nnThank you to all the wonderful staff and volunteers at Mater Private — you made such a difference!
As I lay on a bed at the mater private waiting in the Qld X.ray can't help but look up. What do I see a very poorly maintenance issue, a private hospital with very very dirty RA grills thick with dust?, I sat in a ward before and listened to a fan with bearing problem all night and day,nI hope their maintenance of HVAC&R is not as poor as the PA Hospital where I found the worst maintenance ever and to think these are hospitals.nTo the engineers when you walk around LOOK UP you will see the filthy dust ready to fall on patients, not hard to keep supply air registers and return air clean, called soap and waternStop been lazy, of that's what you see what does your plant look like, remember Air-conditioning is the lungs of the building and should be spotless, wonder what the ducts look like?nnThe staff, doctors, and food very good 5*
I had a knee replacement recently and cannot thank the complete Mater Private Hospital Staff, Nurses and Doctors enough. From my first interaction at reception, right the way through the complete process of using all of the Hospitals services, I cannot fault this Hospital. This hospital is worth every cent of our Private Health Insurance Premiums. One thing I do suggest if you are a patient here, and it would be the same at any Hospital, is to understand that even at your most fragile time of need, be nice. You get what you sew. I hope I no longer need their services again If you know what I mean, but I would be delighted for this hospital to look after me or any of our family in the future. Keep Up The Great Work.
After being denied care at Greenslopes, I chose to be taken to Mater via ambulance yesterday. There was a slight wait, but other than that I received nothing but incredibly kind and exceptional care from my nurse, doctor and other staff.nnAs someone with past medical trauma, I would gladly go here again. I felt safe and respected, I was listened to and not shut down at all. My neurodivergence was also acknowledged which isn't something I've experienced often, it was a pleasant surprise. I was seen by the doctor and had tests run very quickly, couldn't be happier with the care I received here. Thank you Mater
Not even worth one star, came at 2:00 am and now is 5:25, still waiting for the doctor. I paid $700. Thinking my mother could see a doctor quickly. It turns out the wait is longer than at public hospitals. So why do they charge such high fees? Never go to private emergency again.
