So.. Definitely not a great experience here but also not the worst. The nurses are incredible! Also Dr Eldon is such a kind, empathic, caring doctor who actually seems like he genuinely cares about the needs of his patients. I won’t name other names but I’ve had bad experiences with 2 other doctors who refused to believe or listen to me when I said something was wrong! We ended up in hospital because they refused to listen! All I can say is thank you nurses and thank you Eldon
I had an appointment for my visa related medical exam just today and I had a wonderful experience. Lovely staff, quick referrals, short waiting time. Special Thanks to Dr. Jones, Mrs Colleen Orr and Mrs Sankey. You’ve made me feel very well taken care of.
Appointment made for 10 am and an hour later we are still waiting. I understand that one can run behind schedule but this always happens. If a patient is late you have to pay a penalty, not to mention that we have to take time off work. Why make an appointment!!!
Would not recommend. Doctor couldn’t be bothered with me. Couldn’t be bothered looking into it so just referred me to someone else. Never going here again. And they only care about money. Nurses are great but the front line? Definitely not
Severely undersized for this growing community. Month long wait to see a doctor. Reception lacking in professionalism.
Came in after a serious accident. Was sent home without X-rays and proper examination. That could’ve killed me. Had to urgently go to Waikato hospital where I was diagnosed with fractured spleen, punctured lung and broken rib. What the med center did could’ve killed me. I’m still in hospital not recovering yet. Do not recommend ever.
The staff do their very best to accommodate the patients' needs, although it was expensive in the weekend it was well worth it, Dr Varty was as always amazing very helpful,and the nurse was too. It may be hard to get an appointment during the week, but the nurses do their best to help you out and get a script if you need one.
Having moved here this year I made my first visit to the centre today and was seen by Dr Steven Thrupp. He was so kind and polite. I didn't even have time to sit down in the waiting area before he called me in. Overall I was very impressed with the visit - from the time I walked in the door to the time I left, I was well looked after. Thanks Matamata Medical Centre!
We are extremely lucky to have such a wonderful Medical Facility in our community .. We never have problems getting an appointment, great Drs and staff. who work tirelessly to satisfy their patients needs . A big thank you to you all.
Very impressed with the staff. In over 5 years have never had a problem getting an appointment for children to see doctors during and after hours. Great service in our community
