This was my first visit to this cinema and i had a great time. Seat's are comfy, the place was clean and the movie/atmosphere Black Panther 2 was awesome. The only think which was missing for me was the traditional smell of cooking popcorn, it's all pre-bagged store purchased stuff. Maybe I'm old school but that popcorn smell always brought back some good memories. In short I will definitely be going back to Matakana Cinemas, to creat some awesome new memories
Great staff Jess and Karl were extremely helpful and attentive. The cinemas are really stunning and well designed. The Paradiso is definitely my favourite!
We do love this movie theater, unfortunately I had a young girl tell me I couldn't take a small pack of Pringle in which was fine I took them back to the car and said gosh I'm just going back and forth trying to get everything and everyone into the movie, then when I went to ask a question I over herd her talking and making fun of me with the other staff members obviously this was very upsetting and unexpecteble!! Not a very good start to our movie! Hopefully she will think twice before talking about customers next time!
Special occasion movie for 13 year olds birthday was spoiled due to wet seats and dripping ceiling. Sat down before realizing seats were wet. Not comfy having wet pants during an especially long movie. The feedback page on your website seems to not be functional either.
Best cinema ever! Always go for the front row seats, they are recliner arm chairs
The staff was good but once we got into the movie, water droplets kept falling on our heads from the ceiling. Made my experience with matakana cinemas a little irritating.

32000 yellow flowers on the ceiling is impressive
Very nice place. I love that each cinema has a different theme. One has a ceiling covered in yellow flowers and it is so amazing how long it must have taken to put them all up. Another room has a massive chandelier and the smaller cinema has all this materials and tapestry along the walls. Downstairs there is public bathrooms that are bright orange and green and also the Matakana Market Kitchen. The only bad thing is that the snacks are a bit pricey.
Very nice boutique cinema in Matakana village. We were in this one which had a chandelier inside and super comfy seats. Loved it.
