At the end of May I had surgery at the very newly opened upgraded Maryborough Hospital, and there wasn't a single thing that I could fault.nnFrom receiving my admission time and routine pre-op phone screening the week prior to surgery, everything on the day of surgery, and the follow-up phone call from the nurse the day after surgery, every single staff member, clinical and clerical were absolutely amazing!nnThe nursing staff in particular on the day of surgery were absolutely phenomenal, the care, kindness and professionalism they showed was at a level I've never experienced. The biggest standout though was the care and compassion from anaesthetist Dr Adele - she just had this knack of making everything engaging and funny from the minute she introduced herself in pre-op until I was put under! Between the wonderful nurse's and Dr Adele, the entire process was seamless, and what would usually be an anxiety inducing process was made comfortable and stress free.nnIf you have a specialist surgeon who offers the option of providing surgery at a smaller regional hospital, and one of their sites is Maryborough, I strongly encourage you to agree to the procedure being completed here. I've genuinely never experienced such excellent care in a surgical setting both pre and post operatively.nnSo, thank you to the staff at MDHS Surgical Unit for providing such excellent care, and showing the benefits that can exist when receiving care at a regional health service. The care provided was truly patient centred care!
Went for a procedure on 20/10, all staff were so nice and I was treated well : sandwiches 10/10 and thanks to the guy in the waiting room for telling me a bunch of dad jokes while I was waiting to get picked up
This Urgent Care Centre is a total waste of funds. I've been here over six hours due to debilitating pain . A blood test and CT scan, a dose of pain killers , and an over the internet consultant with a Dr..... And I'm still sitting here ! Clearly this centre being run by Nurses not DRS is useless !nI will not be attending this scam of a hospital again !
Remove the claim to urgent care from this place. My daughter waited over 6hrs for an X-ray which still never happened. Defund this waste of taxpayers money.
The team at Maryborough hospital provided me the best personalised care in a health setting that I have ever received. All the staff including nurses, anithesits, surgeons and doctors all made me feel very welcome. They made sure I knew exactly what was happening and the order it was happening in, who would be doing what and when. No question I had was too big or small. I am so grateful for the care, empathy and compassion that these staff showed me today. They all work very hard and should feel proud of themselves at the end of each day. I was nervous to have surgery today and they all helped put my mind at ease. These people are angels that walk amongst us. Thankyou all. Down to whoever makes the sandwiches.
