Well I can say the price of quality food has increased significantly, however, it was worth every cent in this instance. The giant burger was beautiful, pricey at $16.50 but quality was on point! If you're looking for decent fish and chips this is your place. I personally don't eat fish and chips normally as I can't handle the oil, they nailed it. I loved it. The Don't take my word for it, go try it for yourself. Nice people, even the girl that yelled "Phone order for Richard", I was right in front of her, lol hilarious.

A 45 minute wait for an unappetising meal. Some overcooked, some soggy. Lots of frier waste and a mystery ingredient included. We understand the shop is under new management and they are working on raising the bar. The owner is aware of our unhappiness and responded constructively. Good luck with turning the business around. We look forward to trying it again, next year, when we're back in town ...
We’ve lived in New Zealand for 16 years, and this has to be THE BEST Fish and Chips yet. Fresh fish and cooked superbly. The chips were actual real potatoes cut up, not frozen chips. And the mussels are large and very tasty. We’ll most definitely stop in on our travels again. Thank you for the effort that goes into all your food.

Taste and portion size was pretty good but very oily. Need to drain properly and go back to the old method of wrapping in paper to help absorb any excess.
