The architecture of the library is amazing, enough electric power outlets and clean bathrooms. The cafe has a good menu. However, it can get quite noisy around the cafe, some of the staff speak too loudly. For instance, if I am studying on the 3rd floor I can hear their noises from 2nd floor.
I am very impressed by the architectural approach to expand the area to incorporate the old heritage building into this modern library. It’s more user friendly to include a cafe inside the library too
Love the library, it's a beautiful building with nice open spaces with lots of natural light, however they need to seriously consider how the advertise and enforce the use of what should be a quiet library space where you can escape to focus, study, get some peace.nnEvery time I go, you can clearly see lots of students, professionals etc. trying to use the library as a place to get some solid work in, yet morons come in with their screaming children, or grab a coffee and sit in the middle of the clearly quiet space and have a loud group conversation, thoughtless about everyone around them.nnSome people in the inner west need publicly available quiet spaces to be nearby for their own livelihoods.nnStaff should clearly signpost this as a quiet space, and cafe staff should politely ask customers to use the indoor space quietly, or go to the HUGE outside seating area if they want to be loud...nnIt's a library, not a rowdy cafe, of which there are literally HUNDREDS within half a km...
I absolutely love this pavilion and library. There are plenty of facilities to use when working remotely. There is a coffee shop in the first floor attached to the library.nStudy or meeting rooms are well designed. The architecture and interior design are modern and chic.nI specifically enjoy the diversity of the audiobooks I have found in this library. The staff are also very responsive and respectful. I totally enjoy working from this place remotely.
Nice library to visit, spacious with a wide variety of books, magazines, and more. Outdoor area for children. There is also a cafe and plenty of electrical points for charging.
