Marrickville Library is such a beautiful and thoughtfully designed space. It feels modern yet warm, almost like a Japanese-style modernjust my thoughts, with plenty of wood and open light. The layout and architecture are stunning — both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It’s quiet, very comfortable, and even has a café right next door with lovely terrace seating. A perfect place to read, study, or just enjoy the atmosphere.
I love everything about this library. The entire building is so beautiful, inside and out. It's peaceful and full of lots of lovely areas for working. I haven't been during busy times however, so maybe it gets busier. Regardless, it's a lovely building that I would recommend checking out if you get the chance to.
Good collections of books in different categories. The library was quite busy when I went and there’s lots of chairs and seating areas for people to work, study, etc. Good located library in the inner west accessible via public transport. There’s a cafe outside with spots inside the library for the public. Would recommend this library for people interested in browsing. The staff were helpful to assist me with the enquiries I had. Looking forward to going back in the summer, when the weathers a bit brighter! Had a good experience here.
A real treasure for the Inner West. I remember when the Library opened in late 2019 … if there is ever a local library to encourage one to read and be read inspired by the written word, this is it. What a joy that that Australians enjoy free access to so much literature for knowledge and enjoyment!nnThere is a special section of the library that is eating-friendly which incorporates a cafe and they even deliver to your table.
Great place to bring your friends and enjoy a coffee. Terrible place to use as an actual library. There is no enforcement of library rules and etiquette. Everywhere you try to read there are people eating, chatting or kids running. Very noisy everywhere. This place is not a library but a social venue and a children's playground. Very disappointing for people who desperately need a quiet place to study or just enjoy a quiet place to read.
