A very family friendly library.nBut not just family friendly, this library provides a huge repertoire of books and media. Lots of quiet places for people who wish to work on their laptop. Another great service: you can book for free a meeting room.
Nice physical environment, handy cafe downstairs, nice kids section away from adult section. It's unfortunate the teen section is right next to the main areas as they don't have much concept of keeping quite in the library or have respect for others clearly trying to focus in silence. Same for some adult customers and staff. I have never experienced a library that doesn't prioritize silence for It's customers trying to learn / read without continuous noise distraction.
What a stunning building and set up. A true community space with meeting rooms and facilities. Lockers available. On site cafe. Friendly and helpful staff.
Very good location with a car parking for the library building on the corner of Seymour Street and Arthur Street in Blenheim. Wheelchair people are welcome as well, the lift and toilet is available. The staff are very friendly with a knowledge about everything.
I've used the libraries app for audiobooks for a long time, but today I went in to get a hard copy I want to read, the staff were wonderful and showed me how to navigate the electronic system to find what I wanted. The new library is absolutely marvellous and not only that to see so many young people there.
