I wanted to check out Glebe market because it is far from tourist zones, and i heard i could feel more local atmosphere here. And it was all true!nnNice market that only opens in Saturday:nIt is mostly second-hand clothes, fashion, antiques, handmade jewelry and other items.nIt was bigger and more organized than i thought it would be, which was very cool.nThere was a stage so good music was constantly played.
A really good market, so much variety here- lots of clothing and accessories stalls, baked goods, hot food, drinks, crafty items, small plants and succulents and lots more. The layout is great with places to sit and enjoy your food as well as live music and most of the market is shaded by all the trees. We got there before opening time and got a park easily and it wasn’t too crowded however when leaving it was a lot busier. Would recommend checking out the market if you have a Saturday free!
A nice place to visit on the weekend when it's open, with a good selection of items available for sale. The most value-for-money section would be the second-hand clothes on sale, which can go for as low as $5 a piece. A steal if you can find clothes that fit you.
One of the best weekend markets in Sydney if you love vintage finds and handmade craftsnThe market is quite large. There’s a whole section dedicated to vintage and second-hand clothing, and many pieces are actually in pretty good condition, not too old-fashioned if you take the time to browse.nnThe bigger central area is filled with stalls selling handmade crafts, art pieces, jewellery and other cute products. On another side there are plenty of food stalls and everything smells amazing.nnYou can easily spend around 2–3 hours here just walking around, browsing and grabbing some food. One thing to note is that there’s only one coffee stall inside the market and the queue is usually very long, so it might be better to grab coffee before coming in! I also couldn’t find any matcha this time would be even better if they had a matcha stall next time.nnThe whole area gets very busy, so I’d recommend taking bus. It’s about a 10-minute bus ride from Central Station. Driving here isn’t ideal as parking is quite difficult.
Glebe Markets is one of Sydney’s most vibrant and eclectic weekend spots — a true treasure trove for anyone who loves unique finds and good vibes. Every Saturday, the market comes alive with an energetic mix of local artists, vintage collectors, and creative stallholders offering everything from retro clothing and handmade jewelry to vinyl records and quirky home décor.nnThe atmosphere is fantastic — relaxed yet full of life. There’s always great music playing, and the scent of delicious street food drifts through the air, making it easy to spend hours wandering between stalls. The friendly vendors add to the charm, often happy to chat about their crafts or help you find a hidden gem.nnWhat really makes Glebe Markets special is the community feel — locals, tourists, and students all mingling together in the leafy school grounds. It’s a perfect place to pick up a one-of-a-kind gift, enjoy a snack on the grass, or simply soak in the creative, bohemian spirit of Glebe.nnWhether you’re a serious vintage hunter or just looking for a fun, laid-back Saturday outing, Glebe Markets never disappoints. It’s a must-visit Sydney experience that captures the heart of the city’s artistic soul. Can park at Broadway Shopping Centre for convenience.
