Located in Glebe Public School Grounds on Derby Place, Glebe, New South Wales, Australia nThese are a long running flea markets in the heart of Glebe. The are well known for vintage clothes, fantastic street food and the acoustic street entertainment are wonderful to sit and enjoy while having a bite to eat. The markets are reasonably easy to get to by public transport. I got the bus from Central Station. There are heaps of stalls with a fantastic selection from clothes new and vintage to arts and crafts to jewellery, second hand items and a lot more. There’s also a decent range of food stalls to choose from. There’s tables and chairs to sit at though these can be occupied quickly due to the crowds or you can sit on the grass. These markets are pretty popular so they get a very big crowd. They are held every Saturday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. The live music helps promote a really relaxing, good atmosphere. It’s great to see all the artists showing their products. These are a real community based market. I loved them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend . Thumbs Up!
Terrific inner city markets. Busy, vibrant, and lots of fun. Lots of stalls with plenty to choose from. Highly recommend the cookies and the bagels. Not sure what street parking is like but parking is available in the Broadway shopping centre which is a few minutes walk about a block away.
One of the best markets in Sydney. Great for young people as there's lots of clothing stalls with suitable clothing. Very hot though in summer and not a lot of shade for small children. Has a variety of plant stalls, lots of jewellery places, art pieces and more. Food stalls were a tad average
Great atmosphere live music and large range of new and used things!! Plus heaps of different food stands, i found hard to take photos and videos due to the large number of people here and I didn't want to upset anyone by taking a photo of them! You need to check it out yourself to get a idea of what is available ! Surprisingly the range of things available here was larger than paddy's market well worth sending the time to check the Glebe markets out
There isn't much to do in Sydney, but there are many interesting markets on weekends. The Glebe Market is one of the largest markets with plenty to see and eat, as well as various items for sale, including second-hand goods. However, traffic congestion can be hellish...
