Visited on a weekday last week and was thoroughly disappointed. The food is overpriced with shockingly small portions, and little care is put into presentation, it felt like dishes were simply thrown onto the plate. I ordered the roast chicken bowl $25, expecting proper roast chicken, but received a few thin, pan-fried slices with some spinach, tomato, and quinoa. The Turkish eggs $28 came with just one small slice of bread halved, a dollop of labne, and two sad-looking poached eggs. I wouldn't return and regret not reading the reviews beforehand. There are far better options nearby, like Ruby Lane Wholefoods. Save your money and tastebuds
I visited your Manly location yesterday and wanted to share what an exceptional experience I had. From the moment I walked in, the warm and cozy ambiance made me feel right at home.nnThe barista was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the coffee was expertly brewed—one of the best I’ve had in a while! The food was equally impressive, both in taste and presentation.nnThank you for creating such a wonderful atmosphere. I’ll definitely be returning soon!
My wife and I ordered about $70 worth of food and we sat outside all good right - my daughter who is strict vegetarian ordered a smoothly bowl from Palmo - we were asked to move from THIS cafe because my daughter’s food was not from the Market Lane cafe so they put all of our food into disposable containers and we had to move - great customer service great caring for the environment - NOT - what a ridiculous policy - yes if all the food or even if the majority of the food was from other place it would be understandable - the food is good but what about the environment what about waste what about making your customers have a great experience. So will we come again - no way - a ridiculous treatment of new customers
Their food is mediocre and really out of balance heavy use of garlic and onions. Their service is okay, but not genuine. They treat you like a tourist to make quick bucks out of you. Also I saw them enforcing “no outside food”policy very strictly with their paying customers, this was unpleasant to watch because I could see how it was ruining people’s day. Given this cafe was in the media a lot last year about high council fee for outdoor sittings, I understand where they are coming from, but I hope they understand that passing on operational frustrations to their “paying” customers is no way of doing a good business. The location is good, so I hope they find a better way to negate this tension over outside food/outdoor sittings..nPersonally, since there are many other places in Manly with a more welcoming and happy vibes, I would not return here.
I personally love this cafe because of its food it so good and mostly the breakfast dishes. The chef is good and is friendly knows how to blend the flavours with food and I basically love the food. Its quite busy on weekends but never lacks the best service and its good atmosphere.
