I’m not sure why there’s negative reviews but I guess I can only speak for myself. The receptionists I had today were a little rude but the receptionists I spoke to the day before my surgery were amazing. I called up after being turned away from the women’s hospital for a termination of pregnancy and I was booked on the next day! The medical staff were AMAZING they put all my needs first and I felt like I was cared for with the upmost professionalism. I was there for a total of three hours witch was less than expected and I was so happy with everything. From the anesthetist to the nurses to the doctor I was cared for really well. I have had a termination before at the women’s and my experience here was FAR better than the care I got at the women’s. I can not recommend this a better place!

- Receptionist moody for 7am. - Recovery room lovely staff in that department wonderful - Doctor professional - Nurses need to watch there outside work conversions and understand there voices carry down hallways, suggestion go to a staff room! - if you have a tv in the reception room put a movie on not “the today show “ or a morning program . There target ordinances are mums and show the outrages of mums in schools. Super insensitive. - The anaesthetic man . While his intentions were in a good place and was trying to put a smile on faces of woman in pain , please Do not relate the recovery room as a “day spa” . What sick day spa kills a Fetus one woman at a time in rotating recliner chairs . Wake up mr. sleepy ! Overall there was nothing exceptionaly wrong with the establishment only that the company needs to invest more training into staff and patient interaction.

I posted this originally on the Melbourne east clinic when in fact it was the st kilda and croydon. This was the most traumatic experience of my life. Making the decision in the first place felt unnatural and devastating let alone the treatment i faced from Marie stops clinics. When my partner and I finally made our decision i was told that this was the best clinic in the world and i looked forward to the comfort I might find in both my partner and the clinic. I was booked in for the Monday and was accompanied by my partner who had taken time off work as well as I had. We drove over an hour and a half to get there only to be greeted with "oh didn't anyone call you? The anaesthetist had called in sick this morning." I advised them that it was now nearly 10am and if they knew this at 0600 why wasn’t i notified. They needed to remember I wasn't just getting something removed from my foot. They failed to notify me, but had notified other patients. It goes to show their lack of sensitivity and organization. She then went on to advise that she can book me in another day... I couldn't speak I was so upset, I was traumatized. I then made another appointment a few days later at a different clinic. My partner had to meet me there so the morning was difficult to spend alone, and worsened when the clinic called me saying hey do you think you can come in a few hours earlier, it wold suit the doctor. 'Suit the doctor"!!!! Are you serious, what about me? I bluntly said no, I will be there at the scheduled time with my partner as I have no intention of doing this without him. When I arrived, they would not allow him and me to sit together and just told him to find a seat while they whisked me away, he was left wandering the halls alone. They then placed me in a room to wait with magazines showing babies etc. all around me and left me to wait for close to two hours. The doctor called me in, I got up and before I had the chance to follow him he was gone, leaving me also wandering the halls to find him. I was scared very scared. He was so in sensitive towards me during the ultrasound, having the ultrasound visible for me to see as well as explaining the procedure as if it were nothing. When I came out of the procedure, I was put in the recovery room where all the other girls were having a laugh and not a care in the world, where I couldn't believe what I had done. I overheard a conversation between the nurses at one point saying 'yeah, Ms ...... boyfriend is asking how long she'll be etc. etc.' and failed to notify me when in fact he specifically inquired how I was doing and when could he come and see me. Failing to provide him with a response. Over all the experience through Marie stopes was horrific and I’m almost tempted to complain further. I’ll have the trauma with me forever.

Came in yesterday.. very good service.. every1 so friendly. From doctors to nurses.. great job guys.. definitely recommended..

The doctor and nurses said different things about potential side effects and the actual procedure. They need more training. I had the copper IUD inserted and was told cramping would only last 2 days and it's now been 9. I understand every person is different but they should have told me the potential worst case scenario. I was also the last appointment of the day and the whole thing felt rushed from both the doctor and nurses and like my questions were a nuisance. Once the procedure was finished they ushered me out after 5 minutes without offering water or crackers or to sit down or anything. I felt like an inconvenience to them. I ended up walking outside and feeling so nautilus and lightheaded from the pain I went back in and had to ask them for some water/something to eat which they finally gave me... only to think the pain would be gone by now because that's what they've told me but I've been out of action for a week. Go to a public hospital where it's cheaper it's not worth the expense!
