I had a large chicken souvlakis for 10 NZD. There was only little chicken in the souvlakis and also only little salad. The souvlakis was mainly a thick bread. In addition, the hygiene standards did not convince me at my visit on the 28th of December 2017. In total, I was disappointed and would not try it again.
Tasted really good, service was great too. Maria was a really interesting person to talk to, and fast service. I had a spicy lamb souvlaki, and it really hit the spot! Other reviews may be true, however I had an awesome experience!
What is supposed to attract me to a food joint where the owners and their friends stand around smoking over the counter or outside the door to the van? Am i supposed to stand happily next to them to place my order while inhaling their smoke...and what's wrong with washing your hands before handling the food? This is nothing but a dirty greasey pit for smokers.
Yes I’ve seen the guys smoke while cooking and they can come across a little unfriendly sometimes, but they also make the best felafel in Christchurch *hands down* and I really hope they relocate when the container mall closes because I eat there every week.
unfortunately purchased 4 for family dinner tonight, really disappointed. small, hardly any chicken, very average salad, not at all like a authentic souvlaki.
Don't even bother. GO TO DIMITRIS!!!!! Just on the other side of re start mall. Dimitris Greek food. Best in NZ!!!!!
Really untasty souvalaki and raw meat plus unfreindly people.
