What promised to be great turned out to be borderline good. The majority of the food and beverage staff treated you as though you were an inconvenience. More often than not we had to wait exceedingly long periods of time to order and to receive our orders. Housekeeping staff were friendly and the rooms were great. On one occasion the upstairs room wasn’t cleaned. When we asked about good tours or activities we were just given a handful of brochures and basically told to work it out for ourselves. I did send a polite email prior to writing this review. However as I never received a response I decided to leave the review here instead.
Idyllic double story apartment set right on the best turquoise water beach in Exmouth. Service was second to none and staff went over and above the call of duty and were very responsive. Great amenities and their restaurant served up the best cocktails and meals we’ve tried in a very long time. Definitely returning here. Well done Mantaray staff!
Great room with plenty of space. Beautiful views from the balcony of the beach. Only negative is if you want to walk into town it is about 5km however there is a shuttle every hour during the day. Overall a beautiful quiet place to chill out and relax
As our pool at Exmouth Escape was under renovation we had a pass to swim at the beautiful Mantarays resort pools, with beach access with some villas on beachfront. Perfect shallow pool for little ones right next to deeper pool. Super friendly and welcoming staff each time. Next visit to Exmouth my family and I will stay some of our time at this resort
We were in a superior king room with ocean views and it was great. Everything inside the room was nice and clean although the bed mattress was too firm. What disappointed us during our stay was when we had dinner at the restaurant. The guy in charge of plating the food and preparing the side dishes needs to stop touching his face. I understand that chefs/cooks don't normally wear gloves when preparing food but please avoid touching your face. The guy kept touching his nose, his hair, wiping his forehead and scratching his beard the entire time while mixing salads and prepping side dishes with his bare hands! And it wasn't even a well kept beard, it was a bush! This was in an open kitchen for everyone to see and not one time did I see him step away to wash his hands. Gross. Luckily, none of his facial hair ended up as garnish on our food. For being rated as a 4 star hotel, you guys need to improve on your food safety practices.
We have stayed here a few times and absolutely love it - will stay here every time I come to Exmouth in the future too. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the gym needs some TLC - not as per pics and some of the equipment needs replacing. We also found ordering a drink was pretty slow - but I do understand a lot of places are struggling with staffing shortages. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
Great place and staff friendly. Rooms are fantastic. The only reason for not getting 5 stars is the breakfast arrangement and computer system trying to order room service. Other than that it would be 5 stars!
2nd time, I have been to this Oasiss and have a 3rd booking to follow. Staff are pleasant and very professional and helpful. The facilities are excellently maintained and clean. The food is extremely fresh and exciting, especially for the location. Starting at $230.00 per night, it is extremely good value. I recommend to anyone in the Exmouth area
Great dinner. Seafood was fresh and delicious. We ordered chilli crab linguine and seafood linguine for mains. Both delicious. Portions were massive!! Didn't even have room for dessert!Rooms: 5/5
We would have loved to spend our dollars on the cuisine and alcohol at Mantarays. Unfortunately we could not get past the front of house staff. They were a permanent road block towards getting a table, despite there being many spare tables around the place. We went on to Whalers and thoroughly recommend the service, vibe and food there. Lessons to be learned, Mantarays.
