This place was a real Aussie pub, ice cold beers and good old pub favourites. Kids enjoyed the outside playground. We had to sit outside as we had kids and the dining room was closed bar is only 18+. It was hot, the fans took the edge off the heat a bit, cold drinks did the rest. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Meals were nice and reasonably priced, missus had chicken schnitty and I had the buffalo burger. The kids had chicken nuggets and chips, no complaints from them at all. Recommended if in the area
On the good side, the baked pumkin, bread rolls and mushrooms were nice. The dining area was clean. The rest was 3rd rate - the prawn 'cutletts' were like what you get in a bucket at a servo and the servo chip are better. Very disappointing.
The meal was prebooked for a bus load of Evergreens Senior's members. It was a lovely meal at a very reasonable price. They provided meat, vegetables, salads, desserts and tea and coffee.Food: 4/5
A local place to stop the drive to refresh and for food on the way in/out of darwin. Big place, lots of room for kids to run around, plenty of car space, bottle shop available, friendly staff. I had the Friday roast beef $20 sauce was sufficient, but I had double spud portions and that's a little much, don't skip your been veggies. No free Wi-Fi.

We've been going there for years ,yes I know things are tuff and every now and then you have a bad one meal ,well we had a bad four meals over the months and waiting times vaired from 30min to hour and a bit .... we like the howed springs tavern so thought we would give it another try ... the soup was discusting ,it was water with hard veggies and a few bits off tuff meat . It tasted like dish water , there were a few other patrons ,that also had the soup ,and left theres as well ,and none off the staff asked why we left it , uou would think the cheif or supervising staff would have saod something?? We like to support locals and going out is expensive. We won't be back there for a very long time... very very, disappointing, i wouldn't even gove it one star ,but needed to leave the review,
Excellent service! Friendly, happy staff, so very hospitable and accommodating. We enjoyed the sirloin with pepper sauce which we highly recommend. The “shuttle” picked us up and took us home and we couldn’t have been more comfortable with our driver, bar tender & waiter. After a long day travelling, thanks for a really top night
Great Territory Pub. Worth the 5 minute drive off the highway. Staff are genuinely friendly, lots of fans outdoors and nice cool AC indoors with plenty of TV's around the whole pub to watch all the big sporting events. Have never had a bad meal there either
Good pub style parmy. Good atmosphere. Waited a bit long for our lunch though.Food: 4/5
Great food, large portion sizes & weekly special’s, great indoor & outdoor play area for kids!
