Mighty good yumcha. The best place for braised chicken feet if that’s your thing. Plump and tasty, not too salty. Perfect with the century egg congee that’s also a standout - wholesome and creamy, goes down a treat!nnHighly recommend the Wu Kok Fried Yam Dumpling that’s rarely available elsewhere because of the work involved. Its never overdone or oily here, and well stuffed. Only a couple of plates available each day, so grab it if you see it in the glass counter.nnAlways, always book in advance because this place is popular. Free parking out front.
Delicious Yum Cha in the Doncaster area. We ordered the stir fried beef flat noodles, turnip cake, tofu skin pork dim sum and I have to say the best steamed beef ball dim sum I've ever had it was generous and so well seasoned - even had parsley I think. Every mouthful OMG.nThe other dishes were excellent and delicious as well. For two people it was affordable and reasonably priced quality yum cha about $25 per head.nWe will certainly be back, but make sure you book in advance as they do get busy.
Oh my god I love this place!nQR code ordering, super clean, low volume from tables so it was easy to chat, and they don’t skimp on sauces if you ask. Everything was fluffy, light, no extra bits of oils. One of the better places for yumcha in Melbourne that’s for sure.
Me and my wife really wanted to enjoy some dim sum today, so I went to ManKee Yum Cha—mainly because I was craving their beef mince ball.nnThe food we did get was actually quite good, which makes this even more disappointing. We waited about 20 minutes for the beef mince ball and had to ask a waitress about it. She told us it takes longer because the beef ball is large and needs more time to steam. That was understandable, so we waited.nnBut after another 10 minutes, a table that had just been seated next to us was served the beef mince ball immediately while we were still waiting. Seeing them eating and finishing it and I am still waiting is not fun. When I followed up again, there was no clear answer and, more importantly, no apology.nnAfter waiting for 10min, we have to go back to work. In the end, I came specifically for the beef mince ball but left frustrated with the service—and never even got it. Good food overall, but the service really needs serious improvement
Food is delicious.nDum sum is handmade and strong Hong Kong favour and price is acceptable.
