The family loves this place. The kids love the pool, which is kept well maintained. Plenty of change rooms and family/disability change rooms available. The gym has recently been upgraded and is fantastic and not too crowded. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The system that MARC use for payment is atrocious. Several issues booking and paying over the last year. For example: Sunday I went to book into a session with a numbers cap. When I got to payment the payrix system they use notified me it was down and payment was not taken. I’ve experienced many times where payment was not taken so was not that bothered. I checked my booking immediately and I was booked in so figured I would just pay later, as I always do when there are issues with the payment system. I was about 45mins fromnThe session so decided to go back in and try to pay so I could avoid a line at reception, this is when I realised my booking was deleted. No booking and the session was full.nI called MARC to ask what was going on only to be informed mgmt set it up that way. No apologies at all just the same nonsense reasoning. It was to stop people from booking and not paying! Hang on, I it is not my system that is broken. If management set it up that way, why were clients not told that? I was informed that I would have received an email informing me that the payment did not go through. I certainly did NOT. Not in my spam either. Clearly this is just something they say to get you off the line. Very unimpressive.
Called to ask if the pool was available for kids to go swimming this morning as our usual pool was closed and was told yes. Arrived only to be told the kids pool is closed. The staff member at the desk then insinuated I lied when I said I had called and asked. I don't even care that I was given incorrect info but to then be told no one at the center would have said yes and I am lying - learn some customer service skills.
Super frustrating they don't have their 50m pool operating as a 50m pool all the time. Why on earth having 3x 25 metre pools is better than 1x 50m and 1x 25m is beyond me. The facilities are severely sub standard compared with any other aquatic centre I've ever been to. The staff were also rude and impatient. Stopped me in the middle of my last few laps by sticking a foam floatation device in my face to advise me the centre was closing in 15 minutes, and told me I had to get out of the pool. They wouldn't let me finish my last 4 laps. Turned all the lights off in the change rooms 10 minutes before closing so I literally had to go to the toilet in the dark. We were rushed out the door even though there was still 5 minutes before closing. Will never go back. Do not recommend at all.
Very modern and state of the art complex, still under going renovations.nShowers and toilet facilities are very clean and tidy.nWell priced membership options and the centre has everything you need with numerous pools to choose from depending on what you want to do.nSquash courts / Gymnasium & plenty of basketball courts also to choose from.nAll in all a world class facility with friendly staff.nnOn the downside, the cafe is very small, you wouldnt want to be there on a really busy day or you might be waiting half the day to get a coffee or something to eat. Perhaps when the renovations are completed they might upgrade the cafe to something a little more substantial.
