Food was delicious! Prices were quite high though which was awfully disappointing, haven't come across a Mexican restaurant with prices that high. Unfortunately one of the girls who was on cash register did not double check our bill and we ended up paying for someone else's meal ended up being an extra $80 that we didn't expect. Waitresses were all lovely, and food didn't take too long which was great
Funky little spot. The staff is incredible, welcomed us so nicely after our car broke on the way to here. Taco is pricy, but so worth it and big. All you need to know to get is the pork Quesadilla. 10 of us agreed it is the best! And Si Mamasita Margherita...and CHURROS! Overall fun jam which can accomodate big groups 10+3 kids Kid-friendliness: Kids had fun
Ceviche was absolutely outstanding! Best dish I've had in a long time. Margaritas, prawn taco, fried chicken and calamari were on point. Staff were lovely. Can't rave enough about our meal tonight.
Unfortunately, we had a bad experience from the get go. Definitely, the negative highlight were the unfriendly staff - with Tayler being the positive exception- and the supposedly kids meals which were prepared according to the waitress “on purpose” spicy , a sauce being added to make it “less obvious ”, so the chef. No apologies from the staff. To make matter worse, we were asked to pay for the inedible kids meal, too. Happy to hear the restaurant’s response going beyond the usual “we are sorry to hear your experience didn’t match the service we typically provide…”
Amazing food, lively music and lovely staff...oh did I mention the tasty food. Great venue to catch up with friends for dinner. Gets a double yum on the Yum-Lea meter.Food: 5/5
I've been coming here since it first opened and the food is not as good as it's been in the past. Also, $28 for two cocktails that were mostly ice and each gone in three sips, was highly disappointing! Service was excellent and I was impressed with how well they coped on such a busy night.Food: 3/5
Delicious food, that is fresh, fast and flavoursome. Highly recommend the pork ribs and the beef brisket quesadilla. The sangria is great too, and isn't heavily watered down with ice as some other bars might do. Note the covered outdoor area out the back is nice to get some fresh air.
First timer at Mamacitas, ordered online for pickup which was a lil longer then expected. However was worth the wait food cooked perfectly tasty dishes all round! Recommended
Just a typical Mexican western restaurant with normal food and normal service. The chicken was nice and the ribs were cooked well but in this day and age you've got to aim to be the best or you won't get avid food lovers like myself back again. The ambiance of the restaurant is good and this place has potential but get the chefs together to actually taste the food and get them to be proud of it. The waitress was a bit unsure of the menu too. Got some things to work but still a solid 3 stars.
Friendly staff, colorful restaurant. Food quality was great, but I would not call this “Mexican” cuisine. Everything was a bit sweet. Music was Cuban... chipotle sauce tasted like sweet barbecue sauce, not at all like chipotle.
