After drinking in this place for several years now and hearing such good reviews about the food I was lucky enough to have a surprise birthday meal sprung on me tonight.True to all of the rumors the food was nothing short of stunning!! The service was absolutely top drawer and the ale was as tip top as ever. Jeremy and the team have absolutely nailed hospitality at its finest. Have dined at the majority of the ‘better’ establishments in this area and have to say nothing beats this place. 100% recommended Food & drinks: Perfection at its finest!
We had a table for four for an evening meal at the "Nook" Great Malvern Hotel. The hake was good, so were the salmon and asparagus tagliatelle, venison in red wine pie and rib- eye steak and chips. We appreciated the way sauces, gravy and salads were served in separate dishes. The portions were generous - we thought twice about deserts. We had a good choice. The lemon meringue would be better with the usual baked meringue - crisp outside and soft and gooey inside. The service was excellent - very friendly, prompt and helpful. Watch out for the unsuspecting step to the WC!
I had arranged to take 12 middle aged men here for a final beer after a curry night. Great selection of beers, reasonably priced. Swift service from helpful staff.
This was our second time staying at The Great Malvern Hotel. Checkin was easy. We went to The Malvern Theatre to see Rumours, brilliant. Then back to the hotel for drinks, lovely service, great choice available. The rooms are big spacious and spotlessly Clean. All the little extras are much appreciated. Good nights sleep. Then breakfast. Wonderful choices, banter and chat with Jeremy, frest beautiful food. Thank you we will be back. Rooms: Spacious clean excellent facilities Nearby activities: The Malvern Theatre. Food & drinks: Lovely cosy bar. Brilliant breakfast.
Enjoyable lunchtime pint, unfortunately missed the food deadline but will be back to sample the seasonal sandwich accompanied by a pint of Timothy Taylor's... Update! Returned for the sandwich..... Heartily recommend
Very friendly staff. Great food. Nice rooms. Great location and our room had a nice view across the town and of the hills.Rooms: 5/5
Easy check in, lift access to upper floors, nice clean twin room, ensuite bathroom with shower, tea/coffee making facilities, choice of breakfast all freshly cooked and served to the table.Rooms: 4/5
Great position in the centre of Great Malvern a really warm welcome and downhill after that. It could have been so much better. Another guest wandered into our room late yesterday evening, some sort of weird diffuser in the breakfast room this morning, because “guests on trip advisor told us they didn’t like the smell of breakfast” and then after returning to the room the key didn’t work because last night they had reprogrammed a different key. Additionally the heating in the room didn’t work, although apparently because it was after the 1st April and before 1st October it would normally be switched on. When it is 6 degC outside heating is really necessary. IF ONLY!
Room was large, warm and clean. The staff were polite and friendly. Location was ideal for the theatre, only 2 or 3 minutes walk.Rooms: 5/5
A meeting in the back room. So pleased to see the dining room and bar full on a Thursday night. A very welcoming hotel.
