Malthouse Theatre is contemporary, boundary-pushing theatre.

We collaborate with local and international artists to create work that puts provocative, entertaining and authentic human experiences on stage. We champion artistic and cultural diversity; we advocate for alternative points of view. We are the voice of the other.

The theatre we produce explores Melbourne and Australia, personally, socially and politically. We cultivate Australian talent and curate irreverent, courageous theatrical experiences from around the globe to captivate audiences. We believe theatre can be—and should be—an agent of change.

Monday to Friday / 9.30am–5pm
Saturday / 10.30am–5pm
Sunday / 1 hour before performances

NORMAL BAR OPEN HOURS
Tuesday to Saturday / 5pm–late
Sunday / 5pm–late (performance days only)
