The girl who served us when I ordered the fish and chips she LITERALLY just gave me a piece of fish... No salad no chips nothing luckily my friend ordered chips so I could have some of theirs. Food was underwhelming for us both and definitely not worth what we paid..
*Backpacker review* we’ve been travelling up the east coast & tried lots of recommended coffees on the way - Malanda cafe is definitely one of the best! Ended up taking a detour to come back and get another the next day!! Lovely lady too
Very friendly and busy young lady on the counter. Very clean and tidy. Had a hamburger and it was nice. Price's are very reasonable despite the fancy rich new upbeat cafe style facade. I liked it.
Fantastic food in a peaceful setting, with amazing staff. Had great fish with crispy chips, and a gorgeous BLT!

Yesterday we had the lunch at Malanda Cafe on the way back home, the food was delicious and the girls working there were very nice. We will go there again if we travel Cairns. Laurel
Sister & I popped in for a small lunch. We got the wedges, cheeseburger, brownie and a chiller. The food/drink were very good and the staff were very friendly. We were served by a young girl who was very sweet. If I ever find myself in town again, i’ll definitely be back!
Bought fish ,chips and salad from as we were staying in a motel .Was beautiful and staff were very friendly ,well priced also. Parking: Was fine.
