Dr Makary is an amazing man. He safely delivered my two children over 25 years ago. I trust him with my life and there was no one else I would have wanted to perform my hysterectomy. He has an incredible knowledge and listened to all my many questions and fears and put my mind at ease. My options were discussed, the procedure explained fully and on the day of the surgery I felt calm and safe and in the very best of care. My recovery has been amazing after following his aftercare instructions. I cannot recommend him highly enough and I will be forever grateful to him for my wonderful care.
Dr. Makary is an amazing gynecologist. He is thoughtful, extremely professional, clear when discussing procedures beforehand, and caring and informative after the op. I really like his sense of humor and the fact he never rushed me, and he stayed focused on me which made me confident and able to trust him. My operation was very successful and the care I received from Dr Makary, the anaesthetist, and the nurses at Bidwill Hospital were top.notch. I highly recommend Dr Makary to any woman needing gynecology issues needing attention. 10 out of 10? I will give him 15!!
Dr Makary did my hysterectomy 20 years ago. Then I have had a surprise tumour on my ovary. I was so relieved that this very clever surgeon was still available. I knew I was in the best hands. Good things keep like good wine. 20 years on he is just as lovely to hand my body over too. I was not nervous knowing I was in his hands. My sixth surgery following 4 C-Sections, A Hysterectomy so this surgery was not for inexperienced. Best result post surgery. Thank you!
Recently having had a hysterectomy, performed by Albert, I can confidently give him a 5 star review. The care delivered by Albert and his ‘queen of KY’ Theresa was exceptional. The whole experience was explained well and I felt I had the best possible people involved. My stay at Bidwell Hospital made me want to live there. I would highly recommend Albert for any lady issues, his knowledge and surgical experience is phenomenal.
What a great team Dr Makary, Teresa and Bidwill Hospital are! Dr Makary seems effortless in his care for you, explaining all you need to know in an informative, humorous way. Felt so relaxed and cared for before and after my operation, and would thoroughly recommend him and his team, "Mother Teresa" & the best little hospital in NZ, Bidwill.
Mr. Makary is a very talented and professional Doctor. Always very willing to explain procedures and things that are complicated in terms that I can understand. We here in Timaru are very lucky to have such a brilliant and skilled Doctor helping us ladies.
Dr Makary is my hero!! After several years of pelvic pain and numerous doctors visits and scans without help in sight a friend referred me - he nailed the diagnosis at the first visit and provided a two step process to remedy the pain. I had a day op first and then followed up with a partial hysterectomy- all very straight forward indeed. With Teresa as his right hand woman rest assured that you are in very safe hands, my life has been transformed!
After dealings with numerous gynaecologists I am extremely grateful to have been under Dr Makary’s care. His expertise and skill is the best. I felt safe and reassured through the entire experience. I went to see Albert because I had stress incontinence. I have a chronic lung condition that causes me to cough a lot. The coughing, carrying heavy weights when I was young, plus being over weight were all factors in causing the Stress Incontinence. I was happy that Albert was going to operate on me to fix the problem. He was going to reshape the bladder using internal stitching. This technique was used instead of using Mesh I wasn't a fan or using a pelvic sling. So I went ahead with the operation knowing that my coughing and reflux were factors that might make my surgery unsuccessful. I had to take the change because it might be successful. The good news is 2 months later my surgery has been successful. I am thrilled. Albert has been thoroughly caring and professional. I have really appreciated his sense of humour which helps calm you when having intimate procedures. He is also very experienced in the field and highly trained, all these things have given me great confidence in Albert. Thank you Albert for help and Care. Kind Regards Sharon Walsh-Grieve
