We enjoyed a delicious lunch today. One of the most delicious steaks we have had in a very long time, cooked to perfection. The chicken Parma was also delicious and nice & thick, salad was fresh and tasty. Beef curry had a lot of flavour. I’d encourage you to try this great pub in Bairnsdale.
We went for after dinner coffee and dessert and boy, we were pleasantly surprised. Definitely a must visit next time I go to Bairnsdale. The food were delicious and the waitresses are on the ball. They are certainly a winning team. We will certainly go back to Main Hotel Bairnsdale.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Salt and pepper squid cooked to perfection and the Asian noodle salad was full of zing and fresh flavours . Totally recommend to everyone.
We ordered chicken Parma and crispy lamb. We cleaned our plates. The food was delicious. I tried Mr Finch cider, it was smooth and tasty. Service was good. Will recommend to our friends and family.
Pretty good food for a pub. Chicken Parma was a good serving size, and the crisy lamb was very tasty. Good wine selection and tasty ciders. Highly recommend a visit if your in town.
I was seated promptly and ordered a beer from the waitress straight away. She said she would be back in a moment. 10 minutes later after she had served several other people I went to the bar and got the beer myself and ordered my meal. I got a receipt for work travel expenses. My lamb cutlets meal was very good and I left. When I checked the receipt I found that it was just an order tab and had no item costs or payment information. Useless - I contacted the Hotel and spoke to the manager who said he could create a duplicate receipt and send it to me. I texted him my email address straight away and thought he would send the receipt promptly. It didn’t come. 5 days later following 2 more calls and a text message I still don’t have the receipt - it would be a 5 minute task but instead of action all I have received so far are excuses and promises that he will get around to it. This is really pathetic. It’s a pity that the Hotel’s management is so patchy as it spoils the experience of the good food.
Apparently the new owners have only been in here two weeks, but no matter, they've hit the ground running. We close the muscles which was an entree special and they were amazing, as was the Lakes Entrance gummy shark as main. Worthy of the stop, as well as the time to write a review.
New owners, menu has variety. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was certainly generous and filling. Nice, tidy place. Be patient as the staff are new, but they will get there with local community support and those that visit from interstate. Parking: Plenty of parking outside the hotel and side street
We were blown away, amazing food and service. They were very kind to one of our kids after they spilled their drink too. We're definitely coming back! Kid-friendliness: Great options for kids and the kids loved the staff. Parking: Easy street parking around the building.
An excellent roast with all the trimmings. Super friendly staff and a great desert with old but exquisite furniture. It reminded me of pub meals 30 years ago.Food: 5/5
