I’ve been to quite a few Mad Mex stores over the years and I hate to say it but this one is my least favourite. I always order the same thing at each store, 3 tacos with 3 different fillings. For some reason at this store the amount of filling is so small that I only got one month full of meat each taco. Although the taste is great for that one mouth full it’s not worth the money. I will be skipping the Macquarie centre store next time.
My go to place for Mexican food. Not like we have many Mexican restaurants in Macquarie Park / North Ryde, however this place is good. I like how they try to be Mexican but it just doesn’t have that “IT” factor. Not seen any food Innovation in the last 3 years. They do have the taco and the burritos as standard food. But there is so much more Mexico can offer. There some amazing regional recipes which could be introduced as limited period option to pull in customers. Would love to see some changed to the menu.
Yummy burritos to get with friends. Can get very busy, staff is nice, location is convenient. Fast service and tasty options. There is a free burrito deal on the app.
The burritos are fine just like any other Mad Mex. The staff are generally ok, but the good thing about this shop is that they generally maintain good hygiene and the cleanliness is quite good despite being in a very busy location.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Staff were completely unhygienic and rude. I noticed that the staff would touch money and not change their gloves afterwards. I requested for the person to change his gloves and asked if he could prepare my whole meal rather than having the others touch my meal with dirty gloves and the lady next to him laughed and made fun of me. Talk about terrible customer service. Would not go back just because of the staff.
Decent food. However, very overpriced for what you get. I got a small chicken nachos with lettuce and it was $11.90. Wouldn’t recommend as the food is nothing special for the price.
The taste is so flavourlesssss I can't even finish my food and I was absolutely hungry after spending $11.8 on this mix. My partner also doesn't like it as his beeg pancakes thingy cost also $12 and it's like 3 tiny prieces. Really?
This place is terrible. I mean how come I was served by such a friendly customer service and my order Naked burrito Chicken was ready within a minute unbelievable. I was sceptical about the taste and i was right, the chicken was so tasty and i am in love with this picante salsa. Even the prices are affordable. I need to go there often to see this is for real.
The good thing about Mad Mex is that the food is always fresh and consistent. It may not be the most delicious Tex-Mex you've ever had but it's guaranteed to satisfy and taste good enough for a casual dining experience. It's never once made me sick over the years to their credit and the food quality is quite consistent. Grab a quick bite here if you're at Macquarie.
Friendly staff, Big Burrito was BIG, shared it. Churros were a good treat to share too.
