After having a chewy greek lamb couple of times in the past, reluctantly went in to try grilled chicken burger on 13/12/22 lunch time and it was bland, chewy, burnt bread and struggled to eat. I will go elsewhere. My principle is not to give bad reviews to small businesses but I was hungry and this burger left me hungry, apologies for the business owners, hope you take the message and improve. Let me know if this review affects you bad then I remove.
Martin and his dedicated team provide a great Mediterranean style meals and salads, the coffees are second to none. The staff are well manner and provide great service. A must to have is the Lamb Eurous on Friday's Food: 5/5
Mad Kitchen has been around for several years, surviving both COVID-19 and a depressed economy. I'll admit it's been a while since I've been back to Mad Kitchen, so I was pleasantly surprised to see them still in business. The service is always polite and friendly, and the food is usually delivered promptly, though usual time of day allowances have to be factored in. The menu has always focussed more on the more healthy side without being too exorbitant; unlike one of their competitors across the road who feels healthy food should be paid by its weight in gold. Plenty of seating, predominantly under shade means you can have a leisurely coffee whilst watching the traffic surge past RBWH. Admittedly it isn't the most ambient setting, but for a quick breakfast coffee or a lunch, Mad Kitchen does a fine job of it.
Martin is a great guy. Coffee is good, food is nice, they always have 3 different salads and if you one you can get all.Food: 5/5
Great spot in the city for breakfast, very nice piccolo coffee, fast service and lovely shady spot to eat.....if in the city - definitely well worthy.
Thought i'd give this place a try with all the rave reviews and mention of great prices. Unfortunately, this wasn't my experience though. I was charged $18.50 for a small piece of quiche, just over a cup of salad and some dry chips the person chased around the hotplate to try to scrounge up enough. I visited lunch time on a Monday at 12:15pm, and the services was quite quick.
Have dined here on numerous occasions... Great food, great coffee, great service... Highly recommend...
Very nice breakfast and really pleasant staff. Definitely recommended.
What a delight this cafe is and so close to the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Lightening quick service for a healthy salad and yum long black coffee. Highly recommend with outdoor dining available under cover.
Best coffee and food around RBWH and this area of Bowen Hills. Good for takeaway or dining in for breakfast or lunch. Independently owned and operated, and the staff are always nice. Decent range of healthier food and drink options, salads, sandwiches and meals, as well as a little extra for those with a sweet tooth.
