Macedon is one of the best palces to visit on autumn. Quite colorful. It won’t last for long though. There are also number of gardens to visit. The walk is enjoyable and it’s moderate (grade 3-4). The memorial status is a tourists attraction.

Got to love this place! Anytime of year for any reason, its simply stunning all year round. Special treat is the Anzac day ceremony, it's something to be experienced. Lots of picnic grounds, plenty of wildlife to see. Flamingos are scarce though!

I had a wonderdul day hiking from the Macedon railway station to the hill top on 5/5/2018. It was not very cold as the sun began to emerge from the clouds. The trails were in a good condition and the directions are quite clear for me. The memorial cross is not particularly special, but the Major Mitchell Lookout offered a great view to the landscape below. I enjoyed the hiking very much.

It is so beautiful up on the range and very well looked after. On a clear day you have a fantastic view. Just make sure to take a jumper or coat with you as it's way colder than you might expect!

Beautiful place close to the nature. Great place for Bush walking just an hour drive from Melbourne.. Plenty of parking, great cafe and toilets at the site...
