The Lune experiencenGreat designed shop, service excellent, friendlynPastries look sensational, almond croissant lovely, coffee was great .nIssue $11.70 for croissant and $5.80 for a small double shot latte. VERY EXPENSIVE. Happy to pay for quality.n$2.20 more for a croissant that was smaller than others I have paid for recently, very nice...but ???
Visited Lune to see what the hype was all about. The croissants were well presented and delicious. Plain croissant was $7.10, the Persian cake croissant $15.nThis venue has limited seating, not a big deal.nnThe croissants were delicious but I think it is too over hyped and over priced. I personally wouldn’t want to stand in line for an hour in the city queue for a croissant.nHowever to try it out for the first time, it wasn’t bad just didn’t live up to expectation.
Firstly let’s just talk about how this place is so ambient with its minimalist style perfect to fitting the setting or Armadale, peaceful and inviting.nnAnyways we came to Lune for their croissants and it was heaven. The flakey buttery layers were so crisp and for me I got the shaker lemon pie which had a meringue on the top along with a lemony filling. The sourness of the lemon accompanied the flakey layers however I felt as more of the lemon was tasted with each bite rather than the flakey layers of the croissant acting as a part of the flavour.nnThe staff were really kind though and they cleaned up for those who dinned in as well as created an inclusive environment.nnI did like my experience going to Lune however there was very limited croissants and pastries for sale. It was also very filling for me and felt too sugary for me so if you end up going to lune and aren’t the biggest sweet tooth, make sure to bring some water.
The croissant is good, unique and delicious. It has a wide variety of distinct flavour or theme. However when received it is cold not even a bit of warm. There is no place to sit, just a bench to stand and eat which is worse than a MacDonald Consider it is such a premium priced item $11 for one crosissant you would expect a decent place to sit and enjoy. Some external chair aside the road and they are not comfortable directly beside the car parked. The chai charged at $6+ is such small cup which really disappoints.
I can't wait to indulge in these delightful croissants whenever I visit Melbourne. My favorite is the ham and cheese croissant, which is incredibly delicious with its perfect balance of saltiness and a crispy crust. The coffee complements it perfectly. If you prefer something sweeter, the lemon croissant is another great choice. Personally, I enjoy the plain and almond croissants because they truly capture the authentic texture of a croissant. It's a lovely breakfast to start the day on a high note!
