Food is tasty with some highlight dishes crab croquettes, squid ink cracker, DIY pork baos however proportions are small which let some of dishes down. Service was friendly however food took quite a while to come out without much acknowledgment. Enjoyed happy hours drinks.
I stumbled upon Suzie late and at random. The staff made me really welcome, and the food was delicious. The waiter even gave me a preview of the upcoming dessert menu. Definitely looking forward to coming back!
Came here for an early Sunday lunch, service was great and food was really interesting with a Malaysian / SE Asian fusion feel. Must order the Malay fried chicken, crispy and flavoursome with a tangy and refreshing dipping sauce. Ebi Katsu sandwich was also really good I'd say better than the usual pork katsu ones comes with a generous side of seasoned hot chips!
The not so big dishes are amazing, particularly the salt and pepper tofu and prawn katsu sando.
One of the best places I have been to in a really long time! Food was AMAZING, wine selection AMAZING, atmosphere intimate in a great way. My boyfriend and I work in hospitality and we were blown away by the service and overall presentation of the place. Can't wait to go back. Again and again and again. I hope this is a long standing fixture this part of town . Love your work!!
Yes we made the most of our Dimmi offer...Twice! So I guess total cost for the bill was much friendlier, both occasions we enjoyed a banquet menu. Be sure to go hungry because there is ample food to get through, all dishes are very tasty. Well prepared and presented with freshness being the keyword especially with the seafood plates. Place has a decent vibe although can be a little noisy when busy so maybe not a great choice for a romantic dinner?
It deserves more than what the ratings say. I was satisfied with every dish. The oysters were well shucked and sized Raw king salmon was delicious Best of all, the fried chicken was amazing with all the spice on the skin I will definitely return when it reopens
I either must have standards or came across this joint when they were having a very off night. Had the banquet for a large group - however since I have a shellfish allergy, I asked for the oysters and scallops to be substituted with their vegetarian options or chefs choice so long as it didn't have shellfish. Waitress asks if I'd like the prawn cake instead - even though I just told her I had a shellfish allergy. Goes away, then comes back to ask me what I'm allergic to. Repeat this 4 times - I wish I was making this up. She chooses substitute dishes for me, then goes to the kitchen and comes back asking me what she chose because she forgot!! Then she kept forgetting drinks that were being ordered and the extra dessert dishes that we ordered on top of the banquet. We were one of two tables being services so it shouldn't have been an issue - but then again she was fighting in front of the two tables with another staff member which made the night really awkward. We kept getting asked annoyingly if the food was okay on every second breath like a parrot - even when we were trying to celebrate our dear friends birthday we got interrupted. The most bizarre service. The drinks are lovely but overpriced, and the food can be a hit or a miss. Beef cheeks and the salmon were the stars, but unfortunately the bao was a let down as it was served cold and were dry.
Really disappointing. My friends and I were big fans of this place but something has changed. We came for the banquet menu. Starters were not served until half an hour since we sat down. The majority of the banquet food was deep fried. Portions were tiny and tired looking. Oh and flavour SALTY as! So much fried food and so much salt. Standout was the sashimi dish and leaving the restaurant. Wine list and drinks also a redeeming part. Service, timing of dishes presented to the table and food was such a let down. We probably won't ever come back. So long suzie - I guess we were the unlucky ones this time
The food and cocktails were amazing. Service was great. They had ran out of a lot of drinks, however they said they had a massive christmas party booking the day before so fair play to them. Went in a group of 4 and it was great and not too expensive. Would definitely go again!
