Food always good so far, bonus is card payment acceptance. That is where a lot of merchandisers miss out!
This was immensely disappointing. Two of the meals we ordered pork dumplings and salt and pepper squid went in the bin after one mouthful as they were so disgusting. The spring rolls were edible but cold, the chicken balls rubbery and the half the egg fried rice ended up in the bin. What we ate was only consumed because we were starving. Really awful meal overall.
I just deleted my review from a year ago. Because now the food is delicious and fresh. I'm so happy to have good Chinese food again nearby. New management for sure! Will get food again very soon.
I think this place has recently been overtaken by new management/owners. They've redone the inside, there's now space to sit, which is nice. The food I have tried so far has been tasty I hadn't tried the food before so I will continue to order from here. Currently 10% off if you collect
The Japanese SeaFood miso soupWOW and the crispy duck were GREAT! The Salt and Pepper prawns had the butter way too thick and heavy, it could be lighter. But overall really good!!!! I will be ordering again! Thank you for the free prawn crackers and the fortune cookies!!!!!
They customer service is a Joke: ordered some Gyosa and Siu Mai, both dishes should contain 6pcs each as specified on their menu. Ones we back home and ready to eat we founded out they just added 5pc in each container. Is not a big deal 2 pieces missing but still called the restaurant to let them know in case of a misunderstanding of the menu by the Chef. The surprise was tha the guy that picked my call didn't say even sorry , nothing at all. Food was delicious but looks like they not taking business to seriously.
Lucky star has been my go-to takeaway for a year now and hasn't disappointed! The prices are reasonable for the generous portion sizes and the calibre of the chef. He's always been really accommodating with special requests eg. to switch ingredients. Couldn't recommend the place more!
