Stopped for breakfast before heading off to the national park to camp. Wanted something we wouldn't cook camping. Chose pancakes which were great. Coffee was also good and we're from Melbourne. Nice view.Food: 4/5
Great coffee, and amazing breads! Get on the VIP list and look out for the next time they're open. Looking forward to coming back again next time and trying out everything else they offer.
This place looks simple and unassuming, but the food is amazing! Loved the salmon and brie filo wrap, the amazing breakfasts, and especially their marinated mushrooms. We would definitely drive out of our way to eat here.
Two of us both had a toasted ham, cheese and tomato. Well made and fresh. Good coffee and homemade cake selection. Fabulous water views. New owner was lovely
When I told the chef we were tossing up whether to eat at Lucky Ducks or at a Port Arthur place that had good main meals at $10 less than his, he replied "You get what you pay for". Unfortunately that didn't turn out to be true in this case. My main course of quail turned out to be only a bit more substantial than what I've had elsewhere as an entree for about half the price. The miserable little bird quite tasty, but ONE only! was padded out with a few bits of roast veg and some sort of salad - not what I wanted on a cold winter's night. I don't have a big appetite but even for me it was not a sufficient meal, especially for $36. That price for such a meagre meal would have been more understandable had it been at a well-furnished restaurant with better service in a location where rental prices for premises are high, but this is basically a small country town cafe with unappealingly cheap-looking bare-topped tables and utensils plonked down when you order. Local red wine was available, but not an appropriate wine glass such as I'd expect for those prices. Perhaps good earlier reviews have given the owners the idea that it's OK to keep jacking up the meal prices. We would have done better just to have had a coffee while enjoying the view during the day, as there's no view to compensate for an expensive evening meal when it gets dark soon after 5pm.
Great little cafe/restaurant just 10 minutes from port Arthur, absolutely fantastic food, came here with 9 people and everyone felt the same way! Must try their 24-hour marinated mushrooms. And all the food was fresh and cooked exceptionally, not to mention the great views over the water!
Good coffee. Nice muffins and fesh baked bread plus good service. Combined with great view this is a lovely stop. Regular consistency of trading hours would be fantastic.
Totally unexpectedly awesome. I had a smoked salmon and King Island Brie Filo with a salad of home grown veggies. Would hold its own in Hobart or anywhere else for that matter.
Always stop here when starting at White beach. Check their Facebook page to see if they are open
Awesome place to stop by, especially if you visit the Historic Coal Mines. Great view and selection drinks and food including cheese. Staff are very friendly too. Feel free to donate a duck!
