Good size meals, comes out quickly if not super busy. There's a huge play are for kids at the end of dinning area. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Try not to sit near the entrance area as it's very cold when the doors open 'winter' otherwise we love it in here.Food: 5/5
We visit the Lower Plenty pretty regularly. Great place to go for dinner with the kids because of the playground. Price is competitive with other pubs in the area and the food is good. The bistro is nice although tables are a little close together. Service is always friendly. Kid-friendliness: Fantastic place for kids, they have an indoor playground which is well loved. Be sure to request a table near the playground if you have kids. Although on a Friday or Saturday night you will need to book well in advance to be seated near it. Parking: Heaps of parking, even on a busy night you will get a spot.
Came here last night for dinner and ordered the chicken schnitzel the meal was pretty pathetic, low quality and the salad was old. The chips not bad. I understand its pub food but I have had 10x better at other pubs that I won't name. On a good note I won my money back on the pokies so I'm not that bothered.
I came with 3 family members, one who has frequented the hotel in the past recommended the steak. I decided on the pork spareribs whilst the others chose the steak. Whilst apparently the steaks were very good according to the others, my spareribs were lousy. They were dry and completely tasteless, and the marinade if that's what it was appeared to have been wiped on before the ribs were cooked. No complaints about the rest of the meal or the dining experience as a whole, but the signature dish of your dining experience should be something memorable for the right reasons, not these.
Absolutely disgusting food this was our last chance for this place we won't be returning. So I wonder how the new head chef that you've been boasting about on other reviews is going? Oh and $28 for a beef burger where the beef patty is the equivalent of a hockey puck?? Top dollar for slop! Only positive is they gave a full refund
I attended with a friend, we ordered a meal each and waited 65 minutes for the meals to arrive! When they finally did, I was disappointed to find the quality of the food was below average. Not good enough! Your hotel used to be better than this. I will not return and will advise others to avoid your hotel. Sincerely, David Owen. P.S. I ordered a Pimm's Cup from the bar and the bar staff didn't know how to make it!
Can't comment on the food as didn't get a chance to try it. Rang to ask what time the kitchen closed and was told 8.30 normally but tonight 9. 00 for Mothers Day. Arrived at 8. 00 and was seated with a menu only to be told 5.mins later that the kitchen was closing early and no food for me! Staff should be across the kitchen times especially on Mothers Day. Wont be going back.
The worst meals. The last time we dined here it wasn't the best but we decided to try again bad move, My husband ordered the ribs. 6 small ribs, with not very much meat, the fries were nearly cold, my meal came well after the other 3. I ordered the Asian Chicken salad, the salad looked as if it had been blended, and as for Chicken, there were 3 small pieces. For the prices they are charging you would expect to get a meal that filled you. This is the last time we will eat at this hotel. They really need to lift there game. Very disappointing.
Nice venue however food was average and customer service was not great. Plates got taken before finishing the food. It also wasn’t clear where to walk from the sports bar into the gaming area and we were told off by security for not walking around. Overall would not visit again.
