Fantastic location, and the food and coffee was top notch too! The egg and bacon brioche was delicious, so much flavour and cooked to perfection while the coffee was just right the temperature and nailed it. Grab yourself a seat out overlooking the torrens and enjoy, you wont be disappointed.
Coffee had strength & good flavour but a huge amount of foam on the flat whites. Best thing about this cafe is that it is situated right on the Torrens River
Terrible service honestly, some of the staff are very disrespectful. They choose and select when the attend to you and you could be waiting a while before you're attended to. We arrived at the restaurant around 3pm looking to purchase something for lunch and saw a lunch menu item we liked but the lunch menu was only between 12:00pm and 2:30pm. We waited outside where one of the waitresses was talking to a customer and we tried to get her attention without disturbing her conversation but were unsuccessful as they were deep in conversation unrelated to catering. She saw us waiting at the front and did not bother to halt her chat with the customer to ask if we were served or needed any help. As a result, we tried calling another waitress inside the restaurant who saw us waiving at her but she had a vacuum in her hand so we proceeded to wait as we assumed she wanted to put that down and would attend to us. Instead she put the vacuum down and went to have a chat with another lady in the restaurant completely ignoring our calls to her. We were looking to dine at the restaurant and order one of the burger lunch items but needed to check whether we could still order it given it was past 2:30pm, but following the etiquette of the waitresses on staff we could not fathom dining at a restaurant were customers or perhaps some customers, more than others are treated like that. Out of frustration, I proceeded to walk into the restaurant to ask the young waitress why she blatantly ignored us like she didn't want to serve us. I was asked to step out of the restaurant given I forgot to put on my mask which I respectfully did and expressed my disappointment. I informed the supervising staff of my intention to leave a bad review as she made no attempt to remedy the situation and take responsibility of her staff member's etiquette. My choice to leave this review is to exercise the only power I have against businesses who disrespect their customers who should be the most important people for the business. Evident in the comment below, there is no indication of responsibility being taken by the business or apology to the customer, instead it is merely an attempt to undermine my right to share my experience so other unsuspecting customers do not have to endure the same mistreatment.
Lovely toasted sandwiches, crispy chips, hot tea and coffee, great range of goods made on site.
What a lovely place to enjoy lunch by the river. Service was friendly and in good time. And beautiful presentation too. Such generous portions of creamy scrambled eggs, and the avocado on toast was super tasty. One of my best avo experiences. Well worth a visit away from the CBD.
Beautiful view and calm cafe, its really a hidden cafe in the city,we had breakfast here ,good varieties for brunch Feel like to sit there and have a coffee, makes your day better We had brunch there on Sunday,it was busy but staff was friendly and food was great Loved this place, recommends to have visit there at least once
Very friendly staff, food was great. Really nice location overlooking the river
Portuguese chicken burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. Staff were very lovely and helpful. Coffee was smooth. Kid friendly with toddlers. Heating on premises. Food came out quickly. Great local business. Would recommend making a booking for over 4 people.
Five stars because there is so little comparable. Lounders is away from the noisy hub of Torrens Lake actvity. It's such a beautiful and quiet setting overlooking the river on the south east side of King William St bridge. Great coffee or tea, a cheese platter, bowl of chips or a meal, it is nicely served , fresh and tasty. There was a small band playing today inside so we chose outdoors where we could chat and enjoy the lower volume of music in the background. Well done staff, we'll keep coming back. Prices well below eastern states. Visitors put this lunch or short break on your itinerary.
Perfect location on the bank of the river Torrens. Good strength coffee. Prices are on the higher end for portion size but worth it for the quality. Would recommend.
