Stepping into this old, charming English pub feels like a trip back in time. Memorabilia covers the walls, giving you something interesting to look at in every direction, and the layout is full of cozy nooks and crannies that make it perfect for settling in. The menu is classic, no-nonsense English fare done right. You can’t go wrong with the scotch egg, fish and chips, or bangers and mash. And the Yorkshire puddings? Absolutely out of this world. A proper pub in every sense.
This was an unexpected gem of a place. Recreates the feel of a British pub which is more cosy and homey than the Aussie variety. I loved the British beer and my Brit pub lunch at a table near an open log fire. The Old Speckled Hen on tap was a real highlight. 5 stars for atmosphere. Thanks!
Great atmosphere. Proper old school English style pub. Awesome selection of beers and the Pork Pie with Branston Pickle and Hot English mustard was epic!
The ragu steak was good, but i prefer the one with sauce rather than the home butter. The beer selection in here was also great. Great deal 18$ for the ragu steak on tuesday. Car park just behind the pub. Pretty tight and have to look around to get the spot
Rained off work so I went for lunch as usual and what a good call that was.nHad the chicken parmigiana.nThe chicken was cooked properly with a store bought tomato sauce on it.nThe cheese was good and plentiful and the chips were thin cut so they did go cold fast. The plate not warmed up.nThe salad was a good size and only leafy with a nice dressing on it.n4.5 plates cleaned
