Excellent service & great food. It was a joy to find such a well priced restaurant in the area that offered more than burgers, fish & chips & seafood. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone wanting a better standard of cuisine & we will be back there the next time we visit the peninsula .Service: 5/5
Valentine's day dinner was amazing. Staff were fantastic and we can't remember the last time we had such a great 3 course meal. We could not ask for better than last night. The chef must be worth his weight in gold.Service: 5/5
Exceeded our expectations. Booked on a recommendation from a friend. Great little restaurant with loads of character. Food was very, very, good and importantly was matched with great service. Price was very reasonable which was a surprise as most things in this area at this time of year are very expensive. Considering going back already during this holiday!
Our second visit to Loquat and outstanding in every way as the first time. Service is friendly and attentive , food is creative and delicious and the fixed price is great value. Best terrine I've tasted anywhere in the world. Highly recommend
The dinner was excellent, splendid main dishes and a great wine list. The waiters who looked after us were charming and attentive. All in all, it was a great evening.
Loquat's restaurant did not live up to its reviews not price point. We had high expectations for this meal after reading numerous good reviews. We were served bread and butter before our meal and this was honestly some of the best bread I've ever had. Unfortunately it was downhill from there. The pork terrine was tasty but nothing special. Both of our mains, the beef cheek and duck leg, were uninspired and frankly just lacking in flavour. Finally we had the date and walnut pudding for dessert and this too was not particularly tasty. Finally, I have to deduct a few points on the atmosphere for the countless baby spiders that kept crawling on our table. I think there must have been a nest of them nearby as we squashed at least 10 of them during the course of our meal
Celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary here last night. Everything was perfect, food was to die for and the espresso martini went down a treat. Would definitely recommend.
When we booked the Valentines Day set dinner at $75pp we had a choice of 5.45 or 8.15. Must be busy we thought - always a good sign. Set low off the highway it’s best to park in the guest parking in the side street & enter via the back. You get to see the loquat trees there. A friendly smile awaits you at the voodoo lounge bar but that’s where the Rolling Stones rock vibe disappears & you are led to your table where a limited Burt Bacharach song list from the 70s is on repeat with the waiter in dark attire happily singing along. Disconcertingly “I’ll never fall in love again” is still in my head. Pleased to say apart from this the dishes were delicious & beautifully presented. With a red rose on every table. No complimentary champagne though. It’s French & $19.50 a glass. A word of caution - don’t touch the Smokey butter.
What a gem. The service was down to earth, friendly, unique and enough to make us come back again and again. The food was excellent, and the entire experience was honest, good and unpretentious. Thanks for a fab night!Recommended dishesAffagato, Sorbet Trio, Confit Duck Leg
We have dined at Locquat many times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere, service and food are always first class. It is one of the “hidden gems” of the Peninsula.
