Really nice upgrade of what was already a pretty nice regional airport. Even though they don't have airtubes, which is a bit of a negative on a disability equity level, who is not going to rate an airport with FREE parking as 5 stars ?
Longreach Airport is situated in Longreach, Queensland, Australia. The airport is 1.5 nautical miles northeast of the city. The Royal Flying Doctor Service has one of its nine Queensland bases at Longreach Airport.
Small provincial airport. Basic amenities Nothing special.
Lovely airport with friendly staff and a comfortable lounge area. Great air con too, to escape the heat.
Clean simple airport. Probably the only things you need to know are there is no food service there just a soft drinks vending machine, and that you can get there by the Longreach Taxi, but there is only one taxi in town and it doesn't take reservations.
I was leaving Longreach yesterday and the staff at the Airport were absolutely fantastic very helpful and friendly on the ground and on the plane. Especially the lady at the front desk she was so wonderful. I look forward in coming back again.
A nice little country airport, do not expect a kiosk to buy a coffee whilst waiting. The turn around of the aircraft is quick
Neat , clean place. No coffee or cafes available , got lot of car hires. Qantas flight only
Nice little airport, the security screening officers were gentle.
No cafe at the airport, bring your own snacks.
