Nice open park with oval; no sports at the moment given Covid. Not sure whether this used to be an off leash area as signs say Dogs must be on leash.nnPlay equipment is good for older kids, maybe 5 and up. A small toddler swing is about all that works for us. Basketball court and cricket nets. Beautiful big trees and bush setting.nnAccess is a bit limited, the car park is small and the lane is basically wide enough for one car so you might need to wait to pass someone on the way in.

Great park, basketball, cricket nets, baseball, playground, dog park, picnic.  Lots of open space and nature areas. Great oval, always maintained well.

We walk to Lomatia Park often.  The streets around make for a good distance or cardio session, some being steep! Occasionally we will do a loop walk on  the bushwalking tracks, to or from Springwood, along Madolune Glen or Birdwood Gully.  These would make a nice walk for people suitably fit, and prepared, looping from Springwood Station, down  into the gullies  e.g. from Boland AvennThere are other bushwalking tracks from here, down some steep grades, some with well-made stone or timber steps, some with occasionally loose sandstone into  and along the nearby gullies.nGoogle maps will help you find your way.nLomatia Park is in a very pretty and historic  setting.  It is in frequent use for seasonal sports, dog walkers and as needed emergency helicopters, even at night.nThe only thing missing is public access to  the toilets when teams are not present to keep them open, and supervised.nnThere is a well set-up playground and cricket nets.

Used to be a nice oval for cricket or kicking a  ball around as well as a basketball court. Very small playground to the side with a slide and swing. Poorly maintained recently with very long grass throughout, snake hazard for kids. Wouldnt recommended for younger children
