We had missed the whales on the day we went, but it was a lovely spot to sit and watch the waves . Peaceful.
Lovely beach to take the dog! Waves can be a little rough at times, but great for surfing when the conditions are right. Beach is generally quite quiet but also with plenty of open space during the busier times. Worth a stop off to give the dog a run around. We found a penguin on the beach too which was great, and our dog was of course very curious to see him!
Very pretty beach with walk ways on the beach edge to make It easy to look out for whales’ On this day there were no whales to be seen any where. It was still good fun looking ‘easy car Park And easy access
Highly recommend a visit to this place sole food
We stayed in Warrnambool for 4 nights in July ‘21 and made a trip each day to catch a glimpse of the whales in their natural habitat. The first day was the best sighting as the whale was very close to shore. The viewing platform provides amazing views of the ocean and whales. Do wear warm clothing as you are facing the open ocean. There is a Facebook page called ‘Warrnambool Whales’ where people provide updates on recent whale sightings.
Lovely beach with a nice landscape too. Great for walks as well.
Awesome beach with excellent viewing platforms. Have never seen a whale while visiting but that's just a good reason to keep coming back :
Nice beach! Not lucky enough to see any whales
It's a beautiful spot for a walk and if you're lucky whale spotting. The Hopkins River outlet provides nice calm waters, perfect for dogs.
