A heartfelt appreciation to Amy and the entire midwifery team — you are truly exceptional !nnMy wife safely delivered our baby via a normal vaginal birth on 22/02/2026. Amy demonstrated remarkable professionalism, experience, and composure throughout the entire process, from the onset of contractions until the birth of our child.nnI briefly lost consciousness during the delivery, and the midwives responded immediately. They attended to me swiftly and revived me within minutes, thoughtfully providing orange juice to help stabilise my blood sugar levels.nnRegarding the ward facilities, although we shared a room, it was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Each patient was provided with their own television equipped with a built-in speaker via the remote console. The meals served were enjoyable, and the shower facilities were well equipped with warm water. Towels, blankets, and pillows were thoughtfully supplied for both patient and partner.nnMy wife is extremely pleased with the professionalism and care she received.nnThank you all for the outstanding service — a well-deserved five-star experience ‍
We are very grateful to Logan Hospital for the wonderful care and support we received during the birth of our second daughter on 31 January 2026.nnA special thank you to the Birth Suite midwife Casey and student midwife Tracy, who truly went above and beyond with their care, kindness, and professionalism. They made us feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout the whole process.nnWe would also like to sincerely thank the admin staff, midwife assessment team, and all the midwives and hospital staff who looked after us. Everyone was respectful, helpful, and caring.nnWe are very thankful for the excellent service and dedication of the entire Logan Hospital team. We highly appreciate everything you did for our family.nnThank you so much nnArju and Pukar
I was critically unwell during my 4 day admission to Logan Hospital, and the care I received from the nurses, fell well below what any patient should expect.nDuring this admission, I experienced what I consider to be inadequate monitoring, poor communication, and a lack of basic compassionate care while critically unwell.nnThere were periods where I felt unsupported and dismissed when attempting to raise concerns. I did not feel safe in the ward environment.nnThe first night my IV cannula leaked and was not identified until the following morning. When this was discovered, the nurses responded by laughing and stating, “Oops, that’s going to set you back 24 hours.” I found this response dismissive and distressing, particularly given the seriousness of my medical condition. As a result, I am concerned that fluids and/or medication may not have been administered effectively for a significant period of time.nnOn one occasion during my admission, I had to repeatedly request my prescribed rapid-acting insulin prior to a meal. As a person with diabetes, I am aware that insulin is intended to be administered before eating to maintain safe glucose levels.nnDespite my requests, the insulin was not administered until approximately two hours later. When it was finally given, the nurse responded to me by saying, “Are you happy now?”nnI found this comment dismissive and inappropriate, particularly given the importance of timely insulin administration in the management of diabetic ketoacidosis. Having to advocate so strongly for essential medication while critically unwell was distressing and undermined my confidence in the care being provided.nnDue to a loss of trust and confidence in the care being provided, I discharged myself against medical advice, despite still being medically vulnerable.nnI hope this feedback leads to improved patient communication, dignity, and accountability. No patient should leave hospital feeling traumatised
I attended Logan Hospital Emergency after breaking my finger. The triage staff were professional, kind, caring and clearly understaffed, but they handled the situation well. I was referred to Meadowbrook Minor Injury Clinic for further treatment.nAt Meadowbrook, the doctor administered local anaesthetic and attempted to realign the fracture to avoid surgery. Unfortunately, follow-up X-rays showed the bone was still displaced and surgery was required. I was explicitly told an appointment was organised for surgery on Thursday 15/01, and this was also reflected in the clinic report.nWhen I called to confirm the appointment, after being on hold for 45 minutes, I was told the appointment was not for surgery but merely a general consultation for “next steps.” This directly contradicted what I was told by the doctor and what was documented in the report.nThe staff member I spoke to on the phone Nina was rude from the moment the call was answered, dismissive of my questions, and offered no clarification or assistance beyond saying she would “make a note.” At no point was I rude or aggressive—I was simply seeking clarity about a surgery I had been told was already scheduled.nI understand healthcare workers deal with high call volumes and frustrated patients, but clear communication and basic empathy are essential, especially when patients are dealing with pain, injury, and uncertainty. Being spoken to abruptly and without care only adds unnecessary stress.nOverall, while the clinical care from doctors and triage staff was good, the administrative communication and customer service were poor and misleading. Queensland Health needs to improve coordination between clinics and ensure frontline staff are trained to communicate clearly and respectfully with patients. Do better QLD Health.
I've been here in the Emergency Dept since 2pm. Its now past 9pm. I have suffered a heart attack Sept 24. They knew that at triage and now i am having chest pains. What kind of triage makes a possibly heart injury sufferer for so long.nnThe irony about all the zero tolerance to rudeness posters in here, the staff here bar one or two, are so dissmisive, rude. Some dont even look you in the eyes when talking to you, let alone smile. I know days are long, but treat sick people with a little more decency. Fyi i have been extra patient despite my condition and the LONG waitnnBtw my last rating for Logan Hospital was 5. You have come down a long way.nnI am leaving shortly without any assistance and if something happens to me tonight, its all on you.nnIf i live, i will never come here agaib
