Story

Located conveniently close to Central Station and tucked away next to the UTS Tower Building at Broadway, you'll find The Loft. More than a uni bar, Loft UTS is a hidden urban oasis perfect for a drink & homemade pizza after work with friends.

Join us in our leafy courtyard open from 2pm 'til late Monday to Friday with home-made pizzas served from 3pm. Happy Hour is from 4-6pm, with all house drinks $4-5.

The home of 2SER's Live at the Loft, The Loft UTS has hosted bands such as Hermitude, Courtney Barnett, Jebediah, Horrorshow and more. With live music, regular social functions, arts, comedy, and more, The Loft is a hub of UTS and the inner city.

Nice venue. Food OK. Went to a family event. Can't say this place is what I would hire.
Great service, decently priced, being close to the UTS the whole vibe is that of a place frequented by students which is fine but it could do a better job tidying up. Loved the vibe with pool tables and a stage frequented by local musicians....
Great bar with a really nice outdoors area. Came here a lot when I was studying at UTS, and I still come from time to time especially now that the Clare is closed. I prefer coming during the afternoon when it's fairly empty and the music is quieter.
Had a great experience here after going with a group. It's reasonably small, but the upper level is great for ~30 people. The staff were very friendly and there was live music. Loved the experience, and the drinks were good too.
Lovely area with reasonably cheap drinks for UTS students and staff and whoever else happens to be in the area. The courtyard is shaded by a large tree and is a nice spot to sit in during a sunny afternoon, although all the smokers will be sitting there so non-smokers watch out! The inside has a relaxed feel, with couches or bar tables to sit at. They often have live music and events on - so check out their Facebook for more details.
Great place for the students, when i studied at UTS I often visited the bar. Great thing about it is that its on campus and also that it hosts lot of events. Students societies use it to organise their events and invite speakers and university community members. prices are affordable too.

The loft bar is for the more concerning university student that is not just after a cheap beer. The offer a good range of coattails with plenty of out door seating with a ginat tree that sit in the centre of the court yard. A great place to spend a summer afternoon. This is also where the radio station 2SER host there live music gigs.
Nice bar located out front of UTS. Good range of drinks and simple hot food available eg hot chips. Indoor or outdoor seating available.
