Loco *is* the heart and soul of Featherston. Forget about the more expensive options across the street; Loco is where you'll find Featherston's locals coming back for cup after cup. Owner Kate has done a fantastic job incorporating the bookstore into the cafe (or is it the other way around?) and it's fast putting Featherston on the map as a Booktown. To be honest, this would be one of the coolest cafes in Wellington, let alone Featherston. It's just the centre of the town; the must-visit spot in Featherston. Catch you there!
