We recently had a leak on our side of our water main. We didn't have any regular plumbers and took a chance on LJM based on a magnet that had been left in our mailbox. LJM was able to attend within a few hours and quickly diagnose the issue. The job was such that they needed to return the next day to replace a pipe. That evening, our leak became worse and we no longer had access to water. Despite the torrential rain overnight and into the next morning, Casey and the crew turned up the next afternoon as promised. They worked in muddy conditions for several hours to ensure we had access to water by the time they finished. We really appreciated the guys going the extra mile and will not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

I asked Liam from LJM Plumbing to come out and quote on some drainage work I needed done at my place. I was told there was a $100 fee for the cost of quoting. Due to the shortage of available tradesmen and the urgency of the job to prevent further damage under my house should we get more flooding rains I agreed. Liam came out and spent about 15 minutes saying he would put in extra pits to catch rainwater, build a drain etc. and that a machine would be needed etc. I then received what can only be described as a 'guesstimate' - a large block of text outlining what he intended to do, with a single figure for the costs of $15, 353. When contacted about payment for the quote, I said I expected a breakdown of costs so I could understand how they arrived at that figure as it seemed extremely expensive for the work required. That is, man-hours required, the hourly cost of the machinery and the cost of the materials. This was ignored and I have since been bombarded by phone calls and emails demanding payment for the quote which I believe is no more than an over-inflated money-grab. At one point, they have even added interest to the bill! They are now threatening to sue me over this review, however I believe it is true, fair and in the public interest. My advice is to avoid this company. I would NOT recommend this company as they refuse to back up their over-inflated 'quotes' with a breakdown of costs, then hound you mercilessly to pay for their estimate which provides no evidence of the cost of individual items.
