When I heard about these pies I had to try them I am known for driving extremely long distances for something special from a bakery. LJ's did not disappoint! The family-friendly atmosphere was great, and the whole family loved the pies, even my finicky 4 year old son loved them. I got talking to the chef quite a character! and his family. It turns out they have a wholesale side to the business with "ready to bake" frozen pies that they sell to other bakeries and cafe's. I ended up bringing a whole esky full back home to Canberra. Needless to say it wasn't long before they were all eaten, and we loved every one of them! I'll have to take a couple of eskies next time to fit all the orders I have from the guys at work. Great experience, great food. I'll be back very soon... Thanks LJ's.
Epic pastry! , generous sized pie with proper tasty filling . beef burgundy tasted like mums ol recipe' doesn't fall apart when you take a bite and could not find one bit of gristle, all the elements of a marvelous pie that was a pleasure to eat.... Make sure you grab a sausage roll too ;-
Great pastry; really crisp and light. Generous fillings with great flavours variety. And real meat! Nothing flashy, just bloody good pies. Worth the stop on the way through.
What a horrible experience. The staff were so rude and I am sure it was the mushroom pie that made me sick all night.
Pies were dry and bland. Staff were rude. Never again!
