Some of the best Indian food we've had, and the lunch specials which include a main dish, rice and bread are an excellent value. Highly recommended! Update: Back again two years later, and the food is still terrific. Plus it's been beautifully redecorated. Our favorite dish is the chicken tikka masala, but we also enjoy the Bhaturas.
Wow! Very yummy curry and rice as well as nan. In addition, there is enough for 3 people with for 2.
We dined here on 31st December. The food, service & ambience was awesome. The staff was polite & customer focused. It was a great experience to be there on a special day like 31st when we are away from home to celebrate something. For the first time, we found some variety in the menu. I can certainly say that they do have AUTHENTIC India food. Would like to go there again if I happen to go there.
Two of the best curries I’ve ever had! Got takeaway dinner from here and it was delicious! Shared two curries Chicken Kadai & Lamb Jalfrezzi with my wife. Had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. Great servings, decent price and delicious curry! Definitely recommend!
Very unhappy experience with dishonest behavior from staff. Little India - I am ashamed to recommend you to anyone hereafter. Very poor dishonest behavior by staff. Called them to order a takeaway, asked them whether they could deliver it? The man said yes it can be done, placed the order - $52 was the bill I promptly paid by credit card over the phone. I asked them how long it would take for the food to be delivered he said 45 minutes, then I decided I will do a pickup, the man immediately said okay, then come back in 20 minutes. I went there only to find that I had been overcharged and when I saw the man in the till think twice to hand me over a GST receipt, when questioned about the overcharge he sheepishly said that was a delivery fee and gave me a cash out. Dishonesty because the staff did not come forward to refund the delivery charge when I went to get it myself. Then intentionally trying to hide it!!! Unhappy!!!
Hands down best Indian food I've ever experienced. My partner and I have enjoyed coming to Little India as our favorite little restaurant in Tauranga. The service from the one and only Gunika is always top notch and the chefs do an amazing job serving up dishes that seem to have come straight from India. We'll be back soon!
Whilst not overly adventurous when it comes to Indian food I really enjoyed my meal at Little India. The onion bhajis and garlic naan deserve special mention. Service was good, the decor authentic but the music random!
This is a nice restaurant. It has nice decor which is very clean. You can see the kitchen which is always comforting. I got a lamb madras, my friend got a chicken tikka masala and both were excellent. We received more than enough meat and even received free popadoms.
I LOVE this place. Have been going consistantly for about 4 years, could be longer. Always great value. I order by phone for lunch to take away often too. I won't go anywhere else for my Indian. I have always had great service too. Ive been meaning to review for years, so have finally done so!
Usually I don't love this place But today in the lunch time i enjoyed a lot . The restaurant was fully pack,and just one server serve the food to everyone.He provided homely atmosphere to every customer. we have A TABLE FOR FOUR .And we all salute to particular server who are assisted the all tables in the restaurant.Cheers
