I had been meaning to try Little Bangkok for a while now, and I finally had the opportunity! I had been a Bangkok resident for 16 years before moving to Perth and have been seeking authentic Thai food ever since. I've had a few golden gems but many more disappointing finds. But Little Bangkok made me feel like I was back home! The food was as close to home as I could remember. It was my partner’s first time trying authentic Thai food, and I was so happy she enjoyed every taste. The service was quick and helpful too. Although it was a full house, we never had to wait more than a few minutes for service and follow-up. I highly recommend this place to Thai food lovers. And if you've never had the joy yet to experience Thai food, this is the place to have your first taste.
This is a decent place to have Thai food. They are usually busy yet the service is swift. The menu comes with clear illustrations of the what you should expect on the plate eliminating the guess work of not knowing what you are ordering. The food is presented well obviously with lots of flavours. The fried ice cream is must try, not too cold when you bite into the icecream and not too hot when you bite into the fried batter. Perfect temperature that my teeth could enjoy.
Second time in as many weeks to come back to this place. Depending on time /day there may be a queue but so worth the wait. 4 of us today and there was too much to choose from - we ate like kings. Staff were busy but friendly and attentive amongst the bustle of the busy restaurant.
Been here during weekday. Not particularly busy which is good as this place always full during weekend. We had some minced meat sago ball, pork with vege and fish green curry. Overall taste wise was a bit on the sweet side for us. Other than that, the food is ok but the service is superb. The fish was undercooked. Advised the wait staff and they actioned immediately which was very good.
I gave this place 3 stars comparing it to the many Thai restaurants I have been to. The portion sizes for the meals we ordered was disappointing except for the Barramundi. The papaya salad bowl had a big slice of lemon in it thus not much papaya salad. The kang Kong with pork was also very small amount with hardly and meat in it. The wagyu beef was very hard and not nice to eat. Although the service was good we had to chase up where abouts our drinks were afew times. It gets very busy after 6pm so if you go for dinner make sure you go beforehand to avoid lining up if you haven't made a booking. We went on a Thursday night and it was busy. The only dish worthwhile ordering was the Barramundi with Thai herbs. The egg net pad Thai noodles was nice but again portion size is small. The plates had some broken bits and torn up couch areas so this place is in need of a renovation although it does have a welcoming feel to it too with the greenery.
Little Bangkok is at a local suburban shopping centre, the restaurant is simple but the food is so good. You can see people always queuing outside. It’s relatively difficult to get a table during dinner. Highly suggest to make a call before come in.
Great food and presentation! Had the duck curry with lychee full of veges and the sauce is delicious chicken pad thai nice but a bit light on flavour and BBQ pork salad warning mild is still pretty spicy. Really enjoyed all our dishes. The pricing is higher than what we usually pay at Thai restaurants but we would return if going to Carousel.
Staff were very friendly, food was good but nothing special. Forgot to add the presentation was really nice. Food isn't life changing, price is about $25 per person, avoid going late night on Friday as the lines get very long.
After dining here multiple times, I would love to say the food coming out was consistent. Quote often the entrees arrive long after the mains are on the table or some guests will be waiting up to 10 plus minutes for their mains after everyone else has theirs. When they ate on their game the food is usually fresh and delicious. The last time, the satay chicken was stringy and chewy, the sweet and sour chicken was very fishy, we sent it back and requested a new dish as the waitress suggested, to be served another fishy cashew chicken dish. Seems the inconsistency comes from whatever chef is cooking. Will certainly keep coming back, just wish they could be consistent with good food.
Very busy restaurant but staff are friendly and efficient. Inside and outside dining. Great selection of drinks. Very reasonably priced. Food was great quality, super tasty, fresh and plentiful. Best papaya salad I have had outside of Thailand. Will definitely visit again!
