We were provided with a magnificent salad and cold sliced meats lunch. The open shed was well ventilated and made a comfortable place for a bus load. A bar offered drinks at reasonable prices. The locally made mango cheesecake was very popular with our group. The self service salad bar was fresh varied and high quality These operators are top of their game. A most enjoyable stop for lunch.
Nice prepaid Buffet Lunch with tour group but no Eftpos facility so if you want a Beer on a hot day or would like to try their legendary cheesecake make sure you take cash or you will be sorely disappointed . Not many places these days that are cash only.
This Cafe is the best in the Park, the food is awesome the cakes are to die for and so are the ice coffees. I visit here regularly and have had many of their dishes they offer from cold meat and salads which are great for swimming after as its not heavy. The Mango Chicken Toasties are the best. So when in Litchfield the Litchfield Cafe is a must visit place plus its the only licensed outlet in the national park if you feel the need for an ice cold beer or a wine head to Litchfield Cafe. And dont forget the mango Cheesecake too.
I am a guide/driver and have been bringing groups large and small to litchfield cafe for years. I and guests love the rustic feel of this place and the food is great. Because I come with groups we often choose the buffet style lunch which is great. A choice of barbecue Barramundi or chicken then help yourself to the potato salad, pasta salad, salad mix, lettuce, beetroot, cucumber, tomato, watermelon and a choice of breads. As well you can purchase alcohol or try a piece of their mouth watering Mango cheesecake. I definitely recommend Litchfield Cafe to all travellers.
We came across this little oasis and were very impressed. The food was fresh, well presented and tasty. The service was great and the table settings out on the green lawns made an ideal place for a cold beer and lunch. A short drive to Cascades after to walk off lunch and return for another refreshing drink certainly was the highlight of our day in the park..
I have been asked to give more explanation about my review stating that Facebook and TripAdvisor reviews are way better. I can see the other review in Google is 2 stars. I was with a tour and we were told we were going to a buffet cafe. The food was all cold and consisted of 2 types of salads potato and onion salad, and pasta and onion salad, salami, ham, and bread. That was all, no real food or enough to make a good sandwich at least. Drinks or desserts were not included.
It's ok. Since not many choices are available in the Litchfield National park, this option provides food and drinks. Before starving, you can eat here. Not recommended because the food isn't really tasty and thinking of quality, it is too expensive. Given the feedback received on my rating, pretty sure I was in this Café as I was as well in the one at Wangi Falls Which does not deserve a much better rating neither. Working with criticism, changing to the better, is preferred, instead of push back and stating that you have an awesome mango cake. Just because you are outside of city boundaries, does not mean you can offer anything to your customers, as there is almost no other alternative around. Besides that, worth to mention: your thick fries were cold in the inside and did not have any salt. :/
Love this little cafe, like an oasis in the middle of Litchfield National Park. The lady that works there is fantastic and is very friendly. We enjoyed a couple cold ciders at the end of the day. The best things was we left a mobile phone behind by accident and she kept it safe for us until the next. Thanks guys!!
Awesome service. We had an iced coffee, iced chocolate, and their slices! They were amazing and really yummy! We would recommend this place to anybody passing through!
We were on a coach trip and the meal was catered for. Yum.
