Shop was highly difficult to move around as displays made the store crowded and staff had left trolleys and cages with stock strewn around the store. As a result, I was asked to move several times for other customers to look at items as there was only room for one person at a time at the 'modern beer' fridges. Displays and shelfing were poorly presented with labels not shown, stock pushed to the back of the shelfs, half empty six packs in all fridges and empty 'high selling' products which is not ideal leading up to Christmas... Before anyone rolls their eyes, there were four staff 'working' in the store, two serving which was perfectly fine but the other two were not visibly doing anything productive. I completely understand that Christmas is a busy period for liquor stores however, in working in a liquor store at least double the size with half the staff and more foot traffic, our store is nowhere near the poor condition this store was when we stepped foot inside today. I will however, award two stars based on the customer service presented at the registers (as we were not greeted nor approached on the shop floor despite only one or two other customers actually browsing items, the rest were waiting in line). I highly recommend the young lady who served my partner and I who rightly asked us to present ID which isn't a common occurance in most bottle shops even though store policy is ID25 so I praised her on following the law. She was very polite, engaged in conversation and genuinely seemed happy to be working. Thankfully, this isn't my regular store and most likely, will not be returning any time soon.
