Great variety of spirits, wines and beer. The beer crates are also in a refrigerated room so you can have a cold one as soon as you leave not recommended if driving. The staff are also pretty friendly - we saw one helping a fellow customer try some of the beer on tap.
We used Liquor King in Rotorua for our wedding and they were incredibly great to deal with. From the trailer hire, to glass hire, to giving a great quote on all the drinks that we ordered from them, I couldn't recommend them more highly. Thanks to James and the team for helping us so effectively!
Nice store, friendly staff. Went in at about 7.30pm Wednesday night and last was on the phone but the other guy jumped in and was more than happy to help. Teamwork makes the dream work
Our family recently bought some alcohol here and the service was 10/10! They had testers available on products we were interested in and their pricing was super reasonable! Highly recommended.
Dear Manager, just to let you know the exceptional service your employee Lakshya Bhalla has been providing in your store at Rotorua. Aimz, is, I believe Lakshya’s counter name, has an exceptional quality of socialising and understanding customer’s requirements. He not only is good at recommending a products but also gets honest saying things like “I am sorry I have not tried this myself” - which is a hard part for a sales focused individual to say. There was another Kiwi couple exiting your Rotorua store with similar feedback about the guy’s customer service. Great great career ahead for this young lad. His team leader, hiring executive and the trainer should take a note that their investment is paying off :- Great stuff folks. With Big Barrel doing well, you need store staffs with this kind of caliber, empathy and customer service.
Got a some bottles of scotch put them in the car in different spots so the on I put in the boot burst in as I Left asked if I could get another as it was the only thing in the boot and broke so easy would they sell me one a little cheaper no way full price and I showed him how thin the glass was I will by my scotch anywhere but there

One of the many options to get liquor in Rotorua. Prices doesn't differ much when compared with other outlets. Provides good customer service though.
