I'm a Huntly local, and the reviews that say homeless were there is partly true. They were people who had been displaced by the floods in the area, and had nowhere to go. They have now moved on. It has since been upgraded, and is a great spot to stop.

We stopped here yesterday and soon left. Very small area, not suited for large vans. It seemed to have a group of homeless and itinerant people staying..nGarbage scattered everywhere.nIt's a shame because it would of originally been a great idea.

Convenient level free campsite close to Bendigo. Has a tendency to attract homeless people in cars and tents, harmless enough but it's supposed to be a 72 hour traveller stop. If council would provide a similar place for longer term residents, perhaps they would be happy to set up elsewhere.

Small but very good.

Tiny little spot, felt very cramped. People obviously living there in not very good conditions. Not a nice feel about the place. I didn't stay.
