I was lucky to grab a jar of their queen garnet plum jam at the Toowoomba Saturday markets which was incredible.nnHave been able to make it in store and try their pastries, of which the pear frangipane tart is easily the best frangipane tarts I’ve had, with one of the best textured short crust pastries I’ve had the delight of eating.nnAll in all a huge fan and can’t wait to bring friends along to share more pastries.
We came here for the first time ever today and ordered a chicken bacon and mustard pie really yummy and did not skimp on the chicken filling preferred it to the beef pie with bacon we ordered but both were good. Also ordered a spiced apple eclair and a lemon meringue tart. Both were delicious, the pastry incredible. The lemon tart was my favourite. The zesty lemon filling contrasting with the beautiful crumbly tart shell and neither sickly sweet. Arguably the best one I’ve ever eaten. The only thing I didn’t like was that I couldn’t see prices on anything. I would have felt more comfortable buying more if I could see the prices and not having to ask. The only reason I dropped a star on atmosphere. Staff were lovely and helpful though and went through all the dessert pastries with me.
Honestly one of the best foodie places in Toowoomba and highlands hamlets. If coming from Toowoomba to not bother stopping at those rubbish places at highfields, keep driving and come to Lillys where they really care about food and the coffee made for you. Lily's will exceed your expectations even if you have your bar set very high. Well done Heidi and the team it's a special treat to know such a wonderful place exists. You knocked our socks off will your quality products. Thankyou!
We have just wandered in to Lily's Artisan by chance...oh my..how lovely is their produce! We ate home made sausage rolls with relish...the best we have ever eaten. Followed by blueberry tart. Coffee was lovely. We discovered the lovely little courtyard which has been created next to the shop. Really glad we stopped by. Also bought some of the homemade produce...fresh pasta and sourdough bread. We will definitely come again. Highly recommended!
Definitely worth the drive to Crows Nest for the amazing food at Lily’s Artisan! The best pastries, made by their own French Pâtissier, the best sourdough I’ve ever had - again made on site. I love that they use fresh, local produce and no preservatives!
