By far our favourite place to dine while visiting Hunter Valley. The staff were super friendly and always made sure we were relaxed and having a great time, we cannot thank them enough for making us feel just like family. Our favourite dish was easily the linguine, though every dish we tried here was a stand out. Very much looking forward to visiting again! x
A beautiful Italian restaurant in a very picturesque location. Lino and his staff have always presented themselves in a professional and courteous manner. Service has always been exceptional and food has always been a standout. This is our always go to place for top quality and authentic Italian experience. Thank you again Lino and staff for always making us feel welcome.
Birthday dinner celebrations, couldn't have picked a more perfect setting. The staff here are second to none, nothing was a problem for them not even my special diet. They even sang happy birthday. Its the only place i found where i could order food i can eat and the meal was delicious. So friendly, beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend. We will be back again and again.
Beautiful Italian food and amazing views. Friendly staff. Bastian greeted us when we arrived. He’s so cuddly and friendly. An enjoyable lunch date with hubby.
Lovely cosy restaurant. We enjoyed our meals. Pizza was perfect. Dessert was cooked well. Ravioli was amazing. The saucy had lots of flavour. Great views at sunset. As you can see from the photos the meals are presented well and taste great but are not large pub size portions.
Sensational!! Great service was provided to us. We had the dogs who were well looked after with water bowls and pats. We had outdoor heating provided. Now to the food the pizza was AMAZING so tasty with gorgonzola, rocket and prosuito. We accompanied that with a sparkling red. Will definitely make this a regular stop.
My wife and I walked in for dinner today after seeing photos of the setting and food, and reading people’s rave reviews of the place. The restaurant is indeed in a beautiful setting, and the staff was great. However, the restaurant management have some bizarre policies which aren’t communicated upfront. They also treated us rather humiliatingly to add insult to injury. In the end we received our food, which was good but nothing special. I have attached photos. I would definitely not go again. I know my review is probably not going to make any difference at all, but maybe it might prevent someone else’s evening from being ruined. ———————————————————— To provide some more detail for this poor rating, I have added below how events unfolded. After arriving and being seated, we looked over the menus and placed our order. This is where things started to go downhill. Our server returned and informed us that there was actually a minimum spend of $50 per person which has to be only on food very specific and so we would need to order more to meet this minimum. This could easily have been communicated upfront, or when we placed the order, so felt a bit bizarre - but understandable that the restaurant would only like to entertain customers with larger bills. We agreed to look over the menus again to see if we could order more items but did not find anything to add. We apologised to the server and asked whether we could get our order as takeaway instead - to allow the restaurant to offer the table to more deserving customers that would offer the restaurant more business. At this point the server had to shuttle back and forth between a manager and an owner to let us know if getting our order as a takeaway order would even be possible which is strange since the restaurant google entry does mention takeaway as an option - as do other reviews. It was our lucky night though, as the manager/owner duo ruled in our favour and decided they would allow it in this instance. At this point we were a little bemused but still looking forward to our meal so what if we had to take it back home to eat it instead of in the beautiful setting that the restaurant is based in. After a short while though, we were given another piece of news. The management/owner duo felt that since we wouldn’t be eating our food in the restaurant, we weren’t eligible to continue sitting there and needed to go and wait outside. The server was very apologetic, but this was bewildering because there weren’t any other guests waiting for a table at that time. We of course obliged, and thankfully only had a short wait before the food was ready. 1 star - only for the lovely service staff. Wouldn’t go back again and would recommend the owner/management re-examine their attitude towards paying customers.
